I still recall, I think and weep

For some reason I cannot sleep

I just can’t find a reason why.

All I do is miss you and cry,

For the promises you can’t keep.

I remember, pain is too deep,

But feelings still give my heart heaps

I was there, but you said goodbye.

My eyes are now dry, now a neap.

I gave love; pain is what I reap,

But now it’s just too late to try

To mend all this, you can’t deny.

Truth is, love isn’t dead, just asleep.
