I woke up the next morning to Ms. M's smiling face shaking me. I leaned up and got out of my bed as soon as she left the room. I took a quick shower then went into my closet. I threw on a mini skirt and a black off the shoulder shirt with a hot pink tank top under it. I slide into hot pink converse and then walked over to my vanity. I did my makeup to match my clothes and straightened my hair.
I then grabbed my phone and keys when I saw the clock said seven o'clock. I ran downstairs and jumped into my Ferrari. I speed towards school and pulled in to see a group of reporters in front of the school. I slowly got out of my car, grabbing my purse with my keys and phone inside it on my way out. I shut my door quietly and walked over towards the reporters slowly. As soon as they saw me they ran at me. I was surrounded by them in seconds.
"Ms. Wilde, what's your boyfriends name?" They kept repeating.
I looked around trying to find a way out of them when I saw Principal Rule pushing his way through towards me. He grabbed me and pulled be into the school quickly. Once we were setting in his office he spoke.
"What is this?" He sneered throwing a magazine with Loren and I on the cover onto his desk.
"I take it you can't explain this so we'll bring Mr. Walker in to do it for you." He said as he had his secretary get Loren.
A few minutes later Loren was in the office setting beside me. Mr. Rule kept looking back and forth between us.
"Now, someone speak up and tell me what the heck this is!" he yelled pointing to the magazine.
"I was with Ms. Wilde at the premiere." Loren said before I cut in.
"He was with me because my parents couldn't be there to make sure I was okay and my bodyguard had to stay hidden so he was under cover as my protection as my date." I said quickly and easily.
Loren and Principal Rule looked at me stunned. Principal Rule then smiled. Wait! He smiled about this subject? He then cleared his throat and spoke just as Loren relaxed.
"Well then. It looks like there shouldn't be a punishment, but a reward for our noble teacher taking on this challenging position." He said smiling bigly.
"I couldn't agree more." I smirked sweetly.
"Well, Ms. Wilde since this is a big gossip topic lately here at school we're going to have an assemble with you and Mr. Walker explaining the situation." Mr. Rule said proudly.
"Very well, but shouldn't I get to class?" I asked.
"Not till after the assemble. You two will stay here while I got get things together." He said then walked out.
We sat there in silence for a while before I spoke up. I'm not a person that can deal with silence well.
"That was a close one." I sighed, leaning back in my chair.
"I can't believe.." He trailed on.
"That I can think on the spot that quick. Neither can I." I said easily, thinking I was finishing his sentence.
"No. That you would lie like that. If your ashamed of us just say so Amber." He said shocked.
"Wait. You think I'm ashamed of us?" I asked and he nodded his head.
"I would never be ashamed of us. I just don't want you to lose your job and the respect of your Uncle." I said.
"I told you that I was willing to risk it," He said standing up, "If you want to lie about this then there isn't an us." With that he walked out of the room.
I sat there to stunned to move. Loren was never like that. I guess this really upset him.
I was back stage when I heard Principal Rule announce me. He was a little upset that Loren had "stage fright" as I told him. Apparently that reason was believable enough to get him out of being on stage. I walked out and smiled at everyone in the crowd. I saw all the teachers were lining the walls so they could watch the students. I grabbed the microphone and started talking as soon as Mr. Rule was off the stage.
"Many of you have seen the picture of Mr. Walker and I at the movie premiere." I started.
I paused shortly because a thought hit me. I could lose Loren forever if I didn't tell them about us. He was dead serious about this and I knew it. I had to if I wanted there to be an us. I guess it's now or never. I really hope he does get in trouble.
