Someone else described it this way "The difference between Christianity and religion is found in the letters 'ne' (sounds like knee). Let me explain, religion is about what you need to DO, while Christianity is about what Christ has already DONE. All other religions say you have to do something to get to heaven (or whatever they call the better state after death) i.e. your good works must outweigh your bad, you need to complete some task or you need to reach some state of enlightenment before you die, you must go faithfully go church (synagogue, mosque, etc.) meetings, pray, and read from a Holy Book, or you must keep the 10 Commandments. Christianity however is built upon premise that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory God (i.e. we can't and don't keep God's laws perfectly), the wages for sin is death (i.e. the payment or penalty for breaking God's laws even once is death), but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus (i.e. even though we messed up, God is willing to give us eternal life free of charge as gift, not because of what we have done but because a what Jesus has done). The fact that the gift is free doesn't mean that it cost nothing, but rather that Jesus has already paid the penalty we deserved for sin when He want to die for us on the cross. God is a Righteous Judge and His standard is perfection; therefore, He has to punish all sin and can't just let someone off easy. But He is also a loving compassionate God who wants a relationship with His people, and therefore He made a way to transfer our sins onto Jesus so that He would bear our righteous punishment. In other words, the work is already done and all our human effort to get back to God is useless. All we have to do is go on our knees (remember NE) ask Him for that gift and receive it by faith and enter into a relationship with Him."

The Basic Difference between Christianity and the world's religions is this...
As a Hindu I was drowning in a large lake and I did not know how to swim. The religious leaders and gurus came by and gave me lectures on how to swim.
Confucius taught, "You should have followed my teaching and then you would never have fallen,"
Mohammed advised, "Allah wills whatsoever he wills."
Buddha came by and said, "It's all an illusion in the mind, change your mind and you will change the problem."
Krishna came along and said, "It's your karma that you have fallen into the lake. You deserve it."
Then Jesus Christ came. He did not give a lecture or some good advice. He said, "I have come to seek and to save those who are lost," and He came right into the lake and lifted me out of it and changed my life and put a new song in my heart.
The song writer captured my sentiment when he wrote;
"From sinking sand He lifted me,
with tender hands He lifted me,
From shades of night to plains of light,
Oh praise His name, He lifted me."
I now understand the expression of the Psalmist when he wrote:
I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the LORD.

Abrahim(Pbuh) , Ismaiel (pbuh) and so on were prophets of Allah and JESUS (Isa,pbuh) was from the family of Abrahim. And as Such Jesus (ISA) pbuh, Was also a Prophet of Allah, who also came to remind about the creater of everything.
