Rosie's POV

I must've laid down at some point when I say against the wall, because next thing I know I'm awaken by the loud door being pushed open. I stand up hurriedly as a large pair of boots walks into my view, and I back into the corner as far as I can. I glance at his hands quickly, not catching sight of anything that could hurt me. My eyes flicker from his hands to his face, which I decide was a bad idea, because as soon as I look at him I have to look away, as I don't want him to see me cry again. "Hello princess," he coos, causing me to push myself farther into the corner. "Don't call me that," I snap, but it came out as more of a whimper. "Listen, I decided that I've put you through so much last night, you deserve a break, so I'll allow you one call to your little friend," he said, handing me a cheap looking flip phone. "It makes one phone call, so make it count," he turns to walk away as I stare at the phone in my hand. However, he turns back quickly and whispers in my ear, "Don't think this means I won't be back for more." He smiles slyly at me, giving me the chills, and then leaves. I decide to ignore that last comment as I dial Jack's number. It rings three times before he answers. "Hello," his smooth voice answers, instantly making my shoulders relax and warmth full my body. "Jack?" I whisper, although I'm not sure why, because right now I'm so happy to hear his voice I could scream. He pauses for a few moments that feel like an eternity. "Rosie?" He finally replies, causing the biggest smile to spread across my face. "Jack it's me... Hi," I say, then promptly face palm myself. I've just been kidnapped and witnessed Jack getting stabbed and all I can say is hi?? Stupid! However, butterflies take over my embarrassment when I hear him laugh lightly through the phone, then saying "seriously Rose? That's what you're gonna say?" I join in on his laughter quietly, then his tone becomes serious. "Rosie, where are you? Are you okay?" He asks, and those three words cause my eyes to water again, because I remember that I'm not sitting in my room on the phone with Jack because I couldn't sleep. This is not just one of those nights. "I'm alright, I have no idea where I am, Jack.... I'm scared," I finally whimper, a tear falling from my eye. "Rosie please don't cry. I'm gonna find you, I promise," he assures me. I laugh through my crying. "You shouldn't make promises you can't keep, Jack." "I will keep it. I'll always protect you, Rosie." He says solemnly. I sniffle and ask "Can I talk to Jerry?"
