CHAPTER ONE

A Mortal Decision

It was a rainy day, rain was falling hard, the sound of thunder was making a feeble attempt to disturb the class, it was a big room for about seventy students, windows were covered with beautiful blue curtains blocking the blurred view of striking Margalla hills, there were around thirty students, teacher was giving lecture in a way that class was attentive, some were making jokes, the environment of class was totally boosted up every one was taking interest.

He was sitting, oblivious to what was happening in the class, he was somewhere deep in his mind concentrating on something important, and it looks like he was busy in making some kind of decision unaware of what was happening around, not even noticing the rain.

"Azhar why are you so quite today?"Asked Sajid

"Just feeling sleepy" he replied with a yawn which makes Sajid to turn back to his work, Sajid was his great friend.

Class was off now, it was time to go home, after sometime he stretched his body with a yawn and left the room, he was looking exhausted, and he went out to feel the cold rain of January.

It was a very cold night and is raining hard, he crossed the university gate and started to walk towards the parking area, the path was very beautiful decorated with flower pots at their side and there were many small light post shinning, jeweled with tiny rain drops. It was the most posh part of Islamabad and right in front of Margalla hills.

He gets in his car, make a glance towards the clock it was 8:30pm, he started to move towards his home, still concentrating on something, due to rain there was hardly any traffic, wet and cold view of the city was looking beautiful but he had no time to watch, Azhar is hardly 21 years old ,wheat colour, shiny black hair, has a very handsome face and physique ,he has a very mysterious character though but he is very funny and very social, He is a leader among his group but today he was very quite which was very unusual thing about him, he looks worried about something.

He parked his car in the parking of a restaurant, and dials some number from his cell phone.

"Hi mom, I'll come home after dinner so you don't worry about that"

He entered the hall, went to the reception and orders a pizza, than quickly turned around and went for a table.

Restaurant was empty too, but he was still busy in his thoughts, he removed his glasses and put them on the table. There was complete silence the only sound was of the gush of rain, it was about 10 'o'clock when he left the restaurant, he was looking much better now but still silent

After changing into his night clothes he turned on the pc and started to chat with his dad.

"Dad I have made my decision, I am going for this offer, and we all are going to this university"

"That sounds great, Son I know you are going to think about that, after all you are my son, and my prayers are with you so don't worry you are going to shine, I will send you your expenses" after a long conservation he said good night and went to his room, There was a visible grin on his face, before going to bed he texted four of his friends.

Hello Frndx, I am joining you too, I have just make up my mind, will be seeyin you soon at airport. Later

Azhar was sitting in a messy room with everything upside down as he was trying to pack up for airport, while attending a call

"The plan is me and Hina are leaving today, you and Chloe are to join us there tonight at Ford's inn, room number is 11, Maliha will join us soon" explained Azhar

"Ok done, I am over with packing and going to Chloe's house, you know her she takes so much time, when I called her an hour ago she had done half packing and she had to take a shower yet, Argh" said Ashar

"What about your cousin Haris is he coming too?, if he joins us than its going to be lot of fun, man he is so amazing and funny, you know" asked Azhar

"He has not yet decided, I hope that he joins us too, ok mate I am getting a bit late catch up with you later" replied Ashar and than conversation ended

Ashar was his best friend, they both were childhood friends and Haris was Ashar cousin's he was also their childhood mate but was a year older than them, while thinking about past Azhar yawned, than got up and seated himself in front of window with mug full of hot tea in his hand, sun has risen but it was still very cold.

He still had a couple of hours left, he then turned to his trunk and started to fill in clothes, books and other necessaries, after some time he closed the trunk with a loud thud which made a cat sitting on his window sill to run away with fear. He knows that his dear Hina will be waiting for him.

Hina was his very old and beloved friend, they both had a very strong affection for each other, and they were like a family, which they both mean. He always cared for her and they both are always there for each other, a very special bond and a very cute one, he usually calls her Mano and so did all of the friends of their group.

Azhar was wearing his new black travelling cloak, and his black sun glasses, followed by a man carrying his trunk, he ordered the man to put the trunk in the car while he hugged her mommy who was now sobbing, Azhar was hers only child, his dad was also abroad, now she had to live alone without her dear son, that was very terrible and sad moment when he left home, no one can notice his wet eyes.

"Mom I will be back very soon, I promise I will stay connected by post and I love you mom" he said that with his voice trembling and tears were now making a path to his chin, Car moved out of the house, he was now sitting thinking about his plans, as he was the head among his friends, with a very heavy heart, thinking about his decision which he had made, he know that it was all safe and well planned but there he can feel was an unknown fear in the corner of his heart, he can feel that he was leading his friends towards the dragon's den but there is no return now, the decision has been made and he was forced to accept that.
