He goes to a little jewelry store to buy their wedding rings.  He tries to picture her delicate slim fingers while examining the rings in front of him.  A white gold band with diamond studs surrounding it catches his attention.  While looking at the ring, a pang of nostalgia hit him. The Ring.  The last time he did this was 10 years ago--a memory that he would like to remain buried in his past.  A piece of himself that is long forgotten and made him become what he is now--the Savaged Casanova.  A cold blooded man of three decades who chose to spite love.  For him love is for weak and stupid people.

“Sir, have you chosen the perfect ring yet?” Tanong ng matandang jeweler kay Ivo.  He looks at the ring again--his prop ring, “Yes, I will take this one, please.”

Tinignan siya ng Griyegong alahera at nginitian, “You chose a beautiful ring,” Sinabi ng alahera kay Ivo habang pinapakita ang mga nakasulat sa loob ng singsing. “Ise to alo mou miso, it means, You are my Other Half. He doesn’t give a damn about what the ring says.  He just wants to buy it for his dying wife.

“Good.  I will take this.” “I wish you a happy marriage.”

Her face is somewhat familiar to him. His so-called wife has a delicate face, straight nose and pouty lips as lovely as a rose petal.  She is an exquisite beauty.

Uuwi na rin ako in two days.

“Okay.  Tell Mr. De Guzman that I will be there in two days.  Yung kay Belinda…do not worry about her.”

“Yes, sir.  Would there be anything else?”

“No.”

After talking with his secretary, tinignan niya muli si Moira. His wedded wife. For someone who is dying, her hand is still very warm.  Looking at her sleeping state, she is like a sleeping princess, waiting for her prince charming to kiss her. Giving a jewelry to a lady is common for him, but putting a ring on someone is a novelty. But he lost that feeling long time ago in his buried past.

“There, lovey, we are officially married.  May you wear this beautiful ring in heaven.” Those spectacles seem familiar to him. He could only remember those honey-colored eyes that captured him.  Her hazel eyes were so alive when she bumped into him. She writes in perfect cursive that entices him to read the whole page.
