Adrian’s POV

It had been 2 days that none of the Summers family showed up to school. Finally I saw Abby and I walked over to her. “Where’s Holly?” I asked her.

Abby looked at me. “St. Magdalene’s.” She told me, frowning.

I froze for a second and then I was pissed. “Why?” I demanded, everyone turning around to look at me.

Abby frowned. “They’re running some tests on her.” She informed me, blushing from the attention she was getting from everyone.

I nodded and then walked out of class, heading for the exit when I saw Erik. He looked pissed. “You and I need to talk!” Erik stated, watching me.

I stopped and looked at him. “About what?” I asked, leaning against the lockers.

“You and my sister. What the hell was that stunt you pulled on Tuesday?” He demanded.

I growled. “I took her out to have some fun. She’s blind, not dead!” I retorted.

Erik’s face went blank for a second and then he looked at me with hatred. “Well thanks to you, she might be.” He muttered.

I was confused now. “How could I have killed her? She’s was fine when I brought her back.” I defend.

“She had a temperature of 102! She wasn’t fine! Could you not see that she was pale and shivering?” He demanded.

I looked down. “I thought it was just from…” I trailed off.

Erik stepped at me. “Just from what?” He snarled.

I glared at him. “We were kissing, I thought she was hot from that. I didn’t know she was sick!” I barked back.

Erik was glaring back at me. “Did you sleep with my sister?” He asked suddenly.

I pulled a face. “No!” I told him. “I understand how you could think that low of me because I’m known for it, but to think that low of your sister?” I asked.

Erik raised an eyebrow at me. “I don’t think low of my sister, but from what I’ve heard around you, you can talk anyone into anything.” He told me.

I narrowed my eyes at him. “I don’t have to force girls to have sex with or even talk them into it. Why beg for something when I can have it free?” I asked, trying to piss him off.

Erik slammed me back into the locker. “Leave my sister alone.” He snarled.

I laughed at him. “I like your sister and she likes me. There is nothing you can do to stop me from being with her. I will be there whenever she needs me until she tells me otherwise.” I promised.

Erik looked stunned. “You just said you could have any girl free, why are you fighting for my sister?” He asked.

I smiled. “Because she sees what everyone else can’t.” I replied.

Erik was stunned. He let me go. “I believe you.” He said, frowning. “She’s in room 639. Take my visitor’s pass, I’ll just get another one.” He offered, pulling out a laminated pass and handing it to me. I took it and then looked at him.

“Thanks, but I still don’t like you.” I told him, walking to the door.

Erik laughed. “Trust me, the feelings are mutual.” He called after me.

When I got to Holly’s room, she had an in her hand and she was sitting up, talking to her parents.

Her parents were next to her bed, holding her unbound hand softly. “What are you doing here?” Her father asked me.
