Prologue

Moonlight. It twinkled and swirled in the crystal fountain water. The fountain goddess had a forlorn look on her face. A young girl with black as night hair, red rose lips, and ultraviolet eyes. Most mistook it for a deep blue, but when looking closer, it was dark entrancing purple.

At night, the girl drew power from the stone fountain. She drew a Hexagon on the brick floor in front. She chanted an ancient tongue song. A floating mist of purple would appear. And it would speak in an echoing, ghost-like voice.

Azma, Abadeem.

Azma, Abadel.

A symbol would form in the mist. The symbol of infinity entwined in a vine of berry blossoms. The girl would bow her head in farewell and rise from her kneeling stance. The mist would fade and the girl would leave with a metal token in her palm. A renewed token she would wear dangling from her left ear every day.

And nobody would suspect... that her earring was anything but an earring.
