Epilogue

Five Months Later

Tylar’s pov

I sighed as I watched Caleb snuggle into Danny’s side, avoiding me as always.  I hurt me deeply.  I had lost one love already, and I didn’t want to lose a second.  “Nate, I’m going to do it.”

            “What?  What are yo—YOU’RE GOING TO TEL—”  I clamped my hand over his mouth and nodded.  He gave me an encouraging smile and whispered something in Danny’s ear, both of them disappearing to the kitchen.

            “Hey, Cay?”

            “Hmm?”  He turned to study me  with his warm brown eyes.

            “Er…” I trailed off, suddenly losing my nerve.  Danny’s head popped out of the kitchen and he gave me a thumbs up.  “I um love you.”

            Caleb’s face broke into a smile and he kissed me, happiness invading my body.  “Took you long enough, silly.”

            And as strange as it may seem, Monday’s voice echoed in my head.  “Be happy.”
