I stood at the head of the meeting table of what was left of my clan. They stared hopefully at me as I started to speak,

"Today I found the girl. “Everyone cheered. I cut them off "BUT! So did the local tribe and the mate have her heart already! I heard about their mates but never knew how fast it worked with one glance she no longer wanted anyone else. I could read it in her eyes when she looked at me. I even tried to seduce her nothing. "No no that might actually help. If we make this a challenge there will be two against one in sense and the luca will feel out numbered." I said.

"But we only have 8 girl and 8 of us. The luca have 32 women alone counting the girl. And about 36 men." if they heard about this they might back up too and destroy our women. “Todd said in a frighten tone voice.

"Point made." I said. “Okay new plan... I apologize to Monica the women come back we work together to save our kind. The men nodded and I left the room to apologize to Monica. I found her and the women in the kitchen cooking something that smelt like dirt. They like to feel human when they could.

"Monica you were right I was wrong please come back and help us." seemed easy huh? I WASN'T!! Was mentally stabbing her as I said this.

"Forgiven baby “she smiled kissing my cheek." and turned the stove of and re-entered the meeting room.

"OKAY! Here is what we are going to do..."

I softly knock on my father's door to give him his dinner but there was no response. I slowly opened the door. Immediately after I dropped the tray of food and sprinted to his side. He wasn't breathing and there was a letter in his hand.

Dear pack,

Today I know that my soul will pass on to the land of our ancestor to join them. I will forever be in your heart. To Derwin look under my mattress there is a key. Use it to open the box I gave you when you were younger. To the pack help your know alpha save his alpha female.

"Dad! Dad! Come on you can be dead "I chuckled as tears swelled up in my eyes. I forced myself to laugh. When mom had did dad told me that men don't cry and I wasn't going to start now.

-Ring ring- it was my cell phone. I pulled it out of my pocket to find that it was Aria.

"Are you okay?" she asked "I was sitting here and then suddenly I felt that you were sad over something."

"I’m fine Aria. I got to go stay safe." that was just weird. Anyway I hung up the phone and frowned how did she feel that was it or wolf become one already? I shrugged and ran outside calling the pack.

They stared.

"My dad is dead I’m the alpha now. He died writing a letter. Here let me read it out loud "I read the letter to them 3 times. And they all looked at me. Then the elder ran into the house only to come out 30 minutes later crying.
