Yoko's Unacknowledged Novel
by KC
Yoko Ono wrote a novel about Archie & Jughead, but refused to admit it. It had been written during childhood, when she had been an avid reader of comic books. She had planned to have it published someday, when the time was right.
In 1971, the time seemed to be right. But then Archie and Jughead had publicly declared that they preferred the Rolling Stones “Sticky Fingers” over John Lennon’s “Imagine”, and Yoko denied that she’d ever written the novel, and hid it in the back of a dark closet.
