Chapter 14- Breakfast

"The world is an imperfect place." –The Breakfast Club

It was a no brainer when I had woken up in the middle of the night, fighting to go back to sleep, and in the midst of that, knowing that when I woke up again I'd be facing a toilet. So here was I, feeling like poop, with my head in the toilet. If someone didn't walk into the bathroom I would have fallen asleep on the toilet.

And when Miles mentioned breakfast, my head was back in the toilet, and I couldn't tell you what I was puking, but it must have been some acid since my mouth was stinging. I didn't care about breakfast, I just wanted to lay back in my bed for a little while.

"Just leave her to rest. Paisley's not a big breakfast person anyways." Emma mentions, and I can see from the corner of my eyes that she's trying to drag Miles out of the bathroom.

"Damn Paisley. How much did you have to drink last night, girl? I didn't think you went hardcore." Miles comments, his face utterly confused as he puts a hand on his hip.

"I didn't." I cough lightly, moving to the sink to rise my mouth off.

"She's hungover." Miles whispers loudly to Emma beside him, believe otherwise.

"She was like that yesterday too. That's why we stayed in." Emma explains, shrugging her shoulders like she didn't know what was up with me.

I splashed cold water on my face when Miles spoke, "Listen, just go get changed, look like a bum for all I care I'll give you a free pass this once. But come to breakfast, get something in your system but if you're still feeling like shit we'll take you to a doctor." He offers, looping his arm through mine and leading me back to the room.

"How's Paisley doing?" Alice asks, sauntering in the room with a glass of water in her hands. She hands it to me with a meek smile.

"She's hungover, but put a pair of sunglasses on her, get he a large coffee, a nice breakfast, and some Advil and she'll be good to go. Just listen to Dr. Martin, sweets." Miles insists, standing me in front of the closet.

"I think it's best to leave Paisley home. We don't want her puking in public." Emma suggests, grabbing my other arm to bring me back to bed I hope.

"Listen, girls, I know you want me all to yourselves and you're jealous of Paisley and I's relationship, but there's plenty of me to go around. I need my home girl by my side. She's got to come, we don't leave a home girl behind." Miles argues unhappily, clearly not liking that Alice and Emma were both fine on leaving me home.

"Just go without me" I say weakly, waving my hand for them to go away. I couldn't think about the idea of breakfast yet I knew that's exactly what I should be doing right now. But all I really wanted right now is more sleep. It feels like I've woken up at three in the morning to use the bathroom.

"Come on Paisley, you're going to regret not coming to breakfast." Miles whines, standing by my bed side.

"I think we should leave her to sleep. She needs her rest." Alice insists, dragging Miles away.

"I'll be fine Miles. Just go and by the time you come back I'll be fine. I'm sorry, we can do a fancy dinner tonight instead." I suggest, throwing the blanket over my head. Signaling I was done with conversation.

"We'll bring you something back, Paisley." Emma says before the sound of the door closing shut echoed. For a while I could hear Miles bickering with the girls about leaving me behind, but then the front door slammed and that was that.
