Worth Fighting For.

Chapter 1

Serena's Pov

Today was such a beautiful day, the sun was shinning, the birds singing. Everyone was sat in small groups talking among them selves. By everyone, i mean the pack. Today was the annual picnic, where everyone set up tables filled with yummy foods and people played games in human and wolf form, it was quite amusing.

I was sat with my family. Mum, dad and my two siblings Johnny and Elizabeth, tho we just call her Lizzie or Eli. I am the youngest out of the three of us. only by a year. I'm 16, Lizzie's 17 and Johnny's 21. Mum was sat in dad's lap, looking at each other. I smiled, Their still in love, I thought. After 30 years or so, they still look at each other like they are a bunch of teenagers.

Johnny, was checking out the un-mated girls. I mentally sighed. Johnny was around the age were, your meant to find your mate, but it was no such luck for him. I felt sorry for him. He was a sweet guy, never wanting anybody to get hurt, he just wanted someone to love. Lizzie on the other hand, was mated, to my dad's and brother's disliking.

I called, Jamie. Lizzie's older-man, yeah her mate was 20. He was tall, good-looking and kind as hell. When this boy was persistently trying to ask me out at school, Jamie told him to leave me alone, or else, is what he said.

 Me. I was normal. I had no drama in my life. no murderous ex-best-friends, no violent boyfriends, no nothing. I was boring. School was no different, i had a straight A* exam card each year since 4th grade and i had no expectation for my life to change. Many people would say they would hate my life, but true be told - love it.

 I looked around the far east of the clearing where we had set up the picnic. There were a bunch of boys playing football shirt-less, i knew them all by name. Many of them were in my year at school, but payed no attention to me, tho why should they.

 The Alpha's sons, James and Rider, were the captains of the opposing teams, as Rider was Omega, he was taller, more muscled than James, but James was defiantly smarter.

 I carried on watching the game being played, for a few minutes. Watching as the hot sun capture every inch of the there tanned bodies, it was strange. How do they like the sun? I don't like the sun, the feel of it on my body makes me uncomfortable, that's why i am as pale as a ghost. I'm sat under a tall Oak tree. it's cool and shaded. Warm. But still nice.

 Many people including my parents, think that im turning into a depressed 'emo' who's life dream is to become a Vampire. But that's not true, i have read of Vampire books, including Stephenie Meyers, twilight series. I loved them.

Why they decide, to label me an emo is because. I'm not a total girlie-girl, i prefer to wear skinny jeans and a top, rather than a dress and 6-inch heels. Also I am white- because the lack of sun I get, and I listen to some music that- well doesn't really help my 'im not an emo' case. I have long black hair down to my waist, piercing green eyes which i surround with a small layer of black or sometimes blue, eyeliner. I have a curvy waist line with a slightly toned stomach, due to the masses amount of running I do in both forms.

I turned my attention back to the football game, only to see James, Rider and Dan, the forth in command's son, staring right at me. I nodded to them showing my respect to their titles, and smiled. Dan motioned for me to come to him, I looked up at the sun and back to him shaking my head. No. I saw confusion on their faces.

 I brought my knees up to my chest and placed my head on them, closing my eyes. Soon I heard multiple footsteps, and my grey mist in front of my closed eyes turned completely black, showing something is in front of me. I opened my eyes to see, my superiors. I stood up and nodded once again.

"Hi" I said

 "Do you want to come play with us, you look a bit lonely over here." James commented, in a soft and gentle voice.

"No thank you, i would'nt know how to play. I would be just in your way." I didn't like to decline, but i wouldn't embarrassed myself in front of the entire pack, by refusing to go out in the sunlight.

"C'mon Serena.. We could teach you, and you would'nt be in our way. We want you to join!" Dan, was always positive. Again i shook my head.
