Great, another boring party. As a waiter passed by, I took a glass of champagne and downed it in one go. If any of my parents were here, they would freak and probably told me off for even touching a glass of champagne by since they're not here, I can drink it as much as I want.

I went to the buffet table and picked up a plate, ready to pile it with food. I've been starving since this whole thing began cause Mum won't let me eat anything but a small plate of fruit salad. Out of all the food here, all I ate was a food salad, that's how much pain I'm in right now. I guess I am one of those girls with big appetites but you can't really blame me, can you?

But before I could get my greedy hands on the food, a spotlight was shone on me. Normally, I love being in the spotlight but I am starving right now. I turned around and forced a smile to my Dad, on stage, and the crowd.

"My beautiful eldest daughter, Stephanie," he said, proudly.

I give a wave to the crowd when they started clapping for me. Honestly, half the times I don't know why they clap for me. Maybe I would if I actually listened to my Dad's speech but he likes to talk too much. My Mum shot me a look and sighing, I put the plate back down.

"And my youngest, Amy," he said, and the spotlight was gone and instead landed on my younger sister who had her dress stained with chocolate and other stuff. The babysitter had her on her lap and was trying so hard to wipe of the stain to no avail.

I can't help but let out a chuckle at the sight and soon enough everyone was laughing along. My Dad shot me a grateful smile and I can't help but returned it. I chuckled cause the sight was clearly funny but if it also saved my Dad from any 'embarrassment', then I'm fine with it.

Suddenly, I felt a rock hit my hand. I frowned at it but then saw a cheeky face in between one of the gates. Making sure no one saw, I got closer to the gate to see my friend, Emily, grinning at me.

"Having fun?" she asked.

"Yeah, tons. Now, you got the keys?" I asked.

"Yup! But can you get me some food? I'm hungry," she said, making a puppy dog face. When she does that, she does it so adorably that I usually find it hard to resist.

I went back to the buffet table and grabbed one of the packed food at the end of the table and slipped it in my bag. Then, after making sure no one noticed, I went in the house and up to my room. I changed out of my dress and into a top and pants. After grabbing my bag, I snuck downstairs and grabbed a couple cans of soda from the fridge before sneaking out.

Everyone was busy with the event in the back garden that no one was in front, well I think there's no one. I was walking out when I suddenly bumped in to someone. I looked to see it was Calvin, one of the guards around here. I stood up straight and salute him like I always do when I see him.

He narrowed his eyes at me, "And where do you think you're going?"

"None of your business sir," I said and tried to march past him but he easily blocked.

"Stephanie, you know you're supposed to stay here until the whole thing ends," he said.

"But it's boring," I whined. "You try just walking around and talking to people, who you don't know but act like they do, for hours."

"It's better than standing still for hours," he sighed. "What you got in the bag?"

"Some food and drinks," I told him. "You hungry?"

"You got chocolate pudding in there?" he asked.

I took out a pudding and showed it to him, "More than enough."

He took the pudding, "I'll tell your Mum, you don't feel well. Now go before anyone else finds out."

"Thank you," I said, giving him a peck on the cheek before running off. Calvin and I are very close compared to the other workers in the house. Although he's the main bodyguard here, he usually let's me off the hook for sneaking out. He's a fun guy underneath those dark glasses.

I made my way to the car where Emily was lazily leaning against, while playing her phone. Rachel was in the driver seat, her fingers tapping the steering wheel along to the beat of the music. Her head was bobbing slightly as she listened to the radio.

"Took you long enough," Emily said, as I got in the back while she got in the front. I tossed my bag to Emily who immediately caught it and went through all the food. As usual, Rachel typed in a random place on the GPS and we drove off.
