Chapter 1
The Journey begins
Since then,Ordof had been travelling steadily along the Svelt, one of the northern Aventuria's longest rivers.
Each year in spring, the Svelt would flood the endless plains with a tremendous rush of water as the
snow in mountains melted and drained down into the Svelt, causing it to overflow.
The deluge left a multitude of swamps in its wake and it was apparently very dangerous to travel through the spring. It was lucky for Ordof that it was the late sunner now.On the other hand the countless flies and insects were a real nuisance.
By now,Oderich Alriksheave had told Ordof quote much about the swamp squatters, swamp addewrs swamp rats, and even swamp krakenewts, let alone the cunning goblins and other unsavory creatures.
"And then there is the Monster of the Swamp,"Oderich continued. Ordof wished Oderich would stop telling him all this. It made him feel afraid of what lay ahead.

Already he was starting to have second thoughts on his decision to set out for the journey Oderich was mumbling to himself."They say that Monster of Swamp hasn't been seen for a long time.Dark it was.A big beast.Nobody who came in its way survived. It destroyed them all terrible terrible days.
He paused dunno where it went"He wondered alot.he seemed to be deep in his thoughts.
"Oderich do you know what it looked like?"asked Ordof
"Nay!Nobody knows for certain. It had many shapes.Great number of heroes fell beneath his power. It worked only for his master.I have no idea who it was.replied Oderich.

"this place gives me a creeps"murmured Ordof. Are you sure that the monster actually existed asked Ordof
"Eh?I can't say anything for certain But I'm pretty sure it didWhen I was a child I used to hear rumours of a nameless monster up in the north.People going missing.Pretty horrible stories. But who knows all these stories might have been traveller's tales.I learnt not to put much trust in rumours."

At night the slept on a damp patch of earth. It was the best they could find.Ordof's nights were restless. An occassional hoot of an owl chilled the air.Oderich slept deeply.
And so they went on. Momments became days and days became weeks................ and they went on,tired and weakened.
