"How did it go today at Simon's grave?" Leah asked.
I debated whether to tell her it was okay so she wouldn't ask Tegan questions, the truth is probably better. "Not so good. We didn't make it to his grave, she couldn't." I watched Leah's reaction carefully, she looked sad but nodded in understanding.
"I'll talk to her later." My heart sank a little, that's exactly what I didn't want to happen, she wouldn't want to talk about it.
"Leah, I don't think that's a good idea, she really doesn't want to talk right now." It felt weird telling her Mum not to talk to her but I think that's what Tegan wants right now. It needs to be in her own time.
Leah nodded, "Right, wait for her to come to me then?" I smiled and nodded. "Okay, well does anyone want a drink?" Wow complete change of subject. New conversation started easily but Grace kept giving me strange looks then gestured for me to follow her out of the room.
We stood outside the kitchen. "What's up Grace?"
"I just wanted to kn-" She stopped mid sentence and held her hand up.
I looked at her confused, "What?"
"Can you hear that?" She walked back towards the lounge and stopped at the music room door, I followed her and that's when I heard Tegan crying. She moved out of the way so I could open the door.
Tegan was sitting on the floor curled up leaning against the piano. My heart stopped and I got that feeling of being kicked in the stomach that I get whenever I see her upset. I quickly walked over to her sitting on the floor and pulling her into my lap. It took her twenty minutes to stop crying she looked up at me and smiled weakly, making my heart skip a beat. "Tell me the truth do I look a mess?" I laughed quietly. How could she ever think that? She had no idea just how beautiful she is.
"You could never look a mess," I replied honestly, she smiled but didn't look like she believed me "Do you want me to take you to bed?"
"Lucas are you trying to take advantage of me in my emotional state." She tried to be serious and keep a straight face but she smiled and giggled a little at the end.
I laughed and kissed her forehead, "No I'm not shortie and please, get your head out of the gutter." she giggled and stood up pulling me with her.
"Wanna watch a movie?" What I wanted was to ask her if she was okay but she's completely avoiding the subject so I let it go.
"Sure but nothing crappy," I replied as I remembered the last one she made me watch, Bride Wars.
"Hmm, how about The Unborn?" I nodded in agreement; hopefully she'll get scared and hold onto me.
We lay on her bed watching the film, we were just over half way through and it was pretty clear that she's not going to get scared. I was a little disappointed. I noticed her looking at me. "What's up baby?" God, I'm really liking being called baby as well as Luke. Damn it I'm whipped! I groaned internally, the guys were, understandably, going to take the piss!
"Nothing, I just thought you would get scared and need protecting," I replied with a pout. She giggled and moved so she was sitting on my lap straddling me, making me hard instantly.
"I'm sorry is this better?" I nodded and before I could say anything her lips were on mine, we kissed passionately for a few minutes.
"Now you're missing the film," I said breathlessly as we broke apart.
She shrugged, "I've seen it before." I smiled and pulled her closer, the second our lips met my heart started beating wildly again. I lent forward lying her down so I was on top of her, she wrapped her legs around my waist making me even harder. She ran her hands down my chest making me shudder. God, I wanted her bad I need to make her stop soon.
I took everything I had but I pulled away, she frowned and pouted. "Sorry shortie I think we need to stop now."
She looked a little hurt. "You want to stop?" Is she kidding? That is the last thing in the world I want to do.
"God no, but you're still not ready are you?" She looked away, answering my question. "Its okay shortie." She looked at me and smiled. I kissed her and moved so I was sitting next to her. "What do you want to do?"
"Sleep." She rubbed her eyes and yawned.
"Okay I'll leave you to sleep." I did not want to.
I started to stand up but she shook her head and grabbed my arm. "No." she pulled me back down on the bed, I smiled and laid back down facing her with my arms wrapped tightly around her.
