Chapter 9- Bethany
The sound of my alarm clock ringing louder then usual made me jump a mile. Literally. I could feel myself rolling and toppling off my bed, but to be honest I was too asleep to stop myself.
"OUCH!" I groaned as my body made contact with the carpet, I lay on the floor for a moment before properly waking up, just as I was about to pull myself up off the ground I heard my door swinging open.
"Brooke?" Calvin asked, "Brooke, are you in here?" He sounded confused, I popped my head above my bed to say hi, just as his head appeared from above the bed.
I jumped back quicly, only to find slam my shoulder against my bed side table.
"Damnit." I swore in frustration as I got up and re-arranged my PJ's.
"Why the hell were you down there Brooke? You scared me to death!" Calvin said, colapsing onto my bed.
"As I remember it, you werent the one who just fell out of bed and slammed into a table." I snapped at him
"Okay, okay. Well, aren't you just the ninja?" He teased me, I shoved him off the bed and yanked open the door.
"OUT" I demanded, Calvin smirked at me and walked out the door, before heading down the corridor he turned to me,
"Remember to pick up angel Blake!" He called.
I slammed the door in his face.

I stepped out of the bathroom feeling a little calmer then before, a cold shower always cooled me down. I walked to the wardrobes, glancing at the clock to check the time, panic flooded through me, 9:45? How did time go so quick? Pulling out the first top and shorts I came across, I yanked a brush through my wet curls, before slipping on some flip-flops and running down the stairs.
I shot into the kitchen, threw open the fridge and pulled out the orange juice container, i wouldnt have time to eat anything, but my throat was dying for a drink. Hating the taste of the bits in orange juice, I shook the container violently to get rid of them.
I didn't realise that the lid wasn't on properly.
Orange juice splashed all down my white top and denim shorts, and covered my legs. I swore as loudly as I could and ran back up the stairs, creating a wonderful string of colourful vocabulary on the way. I couldn't remember the last time I had a day this bad.
Second time lucky, I thought to myself as opened the wardrobes for a second time today. This time, I decided to actually choose my clothes. I pulled out a simple red sundress, it was a little short but it would do in the circumstances.
I skipped breakfast altogether and ran out of the house, before jumping in the car and driving only a couple of meters and pulling up in front of what I assumed was Blake's house. Sighing, I got out the car and made up way up the winding drive.
Today could not get any worse. Blake? For a whole car journey this morning and this afternoon? Please someone, eat me now, at atleast then I could hide in your stomach and avoid Blake.
I took a deep breath and ran over my 'Im so sorry for being late' speech before I rang the doorbell. I heard some shuffling and shouting from behind the door before a woman wearing a black and white uniform opened the door smiling.
