"...let me explain."

Sean stood in the elevator with his pulse quickening with every floor he passed bringing him closer to Taylour. Anger coursed through his veins and he tried to breathe slow and steady because he was a ticking time bomb and seeing Taylour would be the detonator. Stepping off of the elevator he turned the corner and saw Des typing away on her computer.

"Hi, Des."

"Hello, Mr. Davis." She had never addressed him so formally. It may have been from the way he spoke to her at the hospital but Sean was way over the edge to apologize now. On top of that, he didn't care if she were offended, at least not while in his current mood.

"Is Taylour in her office?"

"Yes, she's in there. I'll let her know you're here," she said reaching for the phone.

"No, that won't be necessary." He reached out his hand to stop her. "She'll know I'm here when she sees me." Des put the phone back on the receiver and watched Sean walk to Taylour's door and enter without even knocking. Rude. Des thought to herself, she figured whatever he was upset about was none of her business and she simply went back to typing.

"Hey," he said as calmly as he could muster.

"Hi." She replied. Sean remained standing by the door while Taylour looked at him from her seat. There was a thickness in the air surrounding them with so many things they each had to say and explanations that they were seeking from the other. Moments passed and then another before they spoke again. Sean was stuck between wanting to flip her desk over and hovering in her face until she gave him answers to why another man's clothes were in his closet. He wanted her to just admit to cheating on him. He clenched his jaw and swallowed.

Taylour stared into his eyes and could see he was upset about something but she didn't know why. She wanted to question him on why he texted Detrick and never said anything about it to her. Hadn't they come to a place where they could be honest with one another? On top of that Detrick is a client and what if he took it a step further and ended their business and withdrew donations or stopped others from contributing? Sean should have brought it to her attention and she would have handled it.

"Are you ready to go?" He asked.

"Let me get my purse," she said and stood ready to leave. Sean watched her closely. Apart of her didn't want to admit that she missed a chance to be there for Detrick when he needed her. What would have happened if she was there for him when he needed her? What if she did go and see him when he called? Maybe Sean and she wouldn't be where they are in their relationship. Although she didn't like his dishonesty, Taylour had to consider that if he hadn't stepped in and sent that message it's a possibility, they wouldn't have come this far.

"Let's go." she said and he opened the door watching her go ahead of him.

They drove in silence Taylour felt the baby move around in her belly and she began rubbing her stomach. Sean watched her as they sat at a red light and jerked the car on green as a vision of a man being on top of her coursed through his thoughts. Gripping the steering wheel, he pushed on the gas and weaved through traffic.

"Sean! Slow down why are you going so fast?" Taylour said holding on to the door handle. He had passed the restaurant.

"Sean, Sean...Sean?" He didn't respond as if he was in a daze. "SEAN?!"

"Yeah." He responded pulled from his thoughts.

"You passed Top Taste."

"Oh." He made a quick U-turn throwing Taylour into the door.
