Parkers pov.

I'm not sure if this is perfection but I'd imagine that this day comes pretty close to it. Just being able to sit here on the beach and listen to the waves crash against each other as a slight breeze brushes through my hair is completely relaxing. Plus I'm pretty sure that holding a beautiful girl in my arms helps.

I look down at her and I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at her. Its not just because she beautiful on the outside, which she is. But it's her inner beauty that shines through the most. I love her. I love the way she is so selfless and caring and compassionate about everything.

"You know if you took a picture it would last longer." she says with an adorable smirk playing on the edges of her lips.

I can't help the chuckle that escape from me. "I don't know if I'd be able to capture the true beauty in it though." I reply with just a teasing hint in my voice.

I don't know what it was I said but suddenly she burst out laughing. "That was one of the cheesiest things you have ever said."

"How?" I asked seriously confused. I don't get it. I thought girls loved it when we complimented them.

"It just was. You're a goof ball I hope you know that."

"Nice. I compliment you and get made fun of in return. I see how it is now." I say turning up my nose at her.

"Oh come on I was just teasing you. There's no need to go all drama queen on me now." Still laughing at me.

I continue ignoring her until I can feel her shift slightly in my arms. "So what did you get me for my birthday?"

"I don't know if you're still getting it." I answer smugly. Oh yeah I'm totally winning this one. Well at least I thought I was gonna until she pulled the pouty lip on me. And that's when I knew that I'd lost. I'm a complete sucker for that face and she knows it. "Hey! That's not fair it's cheating!"

"Nothing is cheating on my birthday so it's completely fair." she argued back with the biggest Cheshire cat grin plastered across her face.

"You guys do know that I'm here with you right? I mean it's not like I disappeared or anything."

Oops I had honestly forgotten about our good friend Trisha. "I could never forget your presence Trisha. The smell is to strong." I said busting out laughing. I felt Annalise slap me on the arm but I was too busy laughing to care at moment.

"I hate to brake this to you Parkly, but that rotten smell isn't me. It's your a**"

"Ouch. That was a good one I'll give ya that." I said wrinkling my nose at the wretched nick name of mine that Annalise had come up with. No man should ever have to deal with his name being demasculated. Its just cruel.

"Okay so I've got the cake now Annalise so you two get off of your lazy tarts and get over here before the candles melt wax onto the frosting." We reluctantly got up and walked back to the blanket we had laying across the sand. After singing happy birthday to Annalise and she had made her wish we all just kind of sat there in a comfortable silence for a moment just eating the cake.

"So what did you wish for?" I asked Annalise turning so I could fully see her.

"You know I can't tell you other wise it won't come true." She always has to be the logical one. It takes the fun from everything.

"Fine. Then are you coming to my next soccer game this Thursday?" This was one of my biggest games this season and although I was seriously stoked about it, I was also kind of worried. I wasn't really having a very good time lately and the coach was getting on my case about it. There for I could really use all the support I could get out in the bleachers. I get plenty from my good friend Emmet out on the field but its not the same.

"I don't know yet but I'll try." Annalise promised taking another bite of her cake. "Is the coach still hounding you about the games?"

"Yeah but it's all good I deserve it. He says if I can't get my act together he's gonna bench me for the rest of season."

"That would be a mistake because your there best player." Annalise stated simply.

"Okay enough with the depressing talk. You two go stand on the sand over there while I take a picture." Trisha commanded pointing with her fork.

We walked down the beach a little ways before stopping and looking at Trisha. I stood behind Annalise wrapping my arms around her waste and smiling at the camera Trisha was pointing at us. Annalise's words still playing in my head making me smile bigger. "You're to good to me lise." I whispered in her ear.

I felt her stiffen and then I woke up from the dream/memory. Looking up I saw Emily looking at me with shock in her eyes and that's when I realized what I had just done. "Emily I "

"I'm just, I'm just gonna go so..." she said cutting me of and walking out of my room.

"Emily Waite!" I called but she ignored me and walked into her room closing the door and locking it. Guilt churning in my stomach, I tried to think of a way to fix this but nothing came to mind.
