Altaïr's gaze narrowed down at the hay stack that had been pulled along in the cart he had ridden in with the informant heading this way. Something had shifted in the hay and it was too large to be a mouse. His eyes narrowed a fraction further as he spotted a glimpse of white and he held back an irritated sigh.

He should have known she'd tag along somehow.

"Come out, Adalia." More shifting and she popped up with a large accomplished grin on her face at him.

"I told you you weren't coming without me!" she answered, crossing her arms and pushing a dignified look on her face as he stared her down.

"You do not follow orders well, do you?" Altaïr inquired instead as Adalia blinked at him before hopping out nimbly from the hay cart and allowing the informant to be on his way.

"Well, if I did I would be me." she answered before taking his hand in hers. "Now come on! Let's go."

"You're a handful."

"Yes, but you're a stubborn jerk sometimes, so it works out well."
