---Ciel---

Ciel stepped through the bleak and mystifying portal that led back to the grim alleyway.

Sebastian was already seated on the horse the carriage ready to take Ciel home.

He had never felt such a dawning of something dreadful clinging to him, as if a small dark cloud had attached itself to his chest. His breathing was uneven and, and the more he walked toward the carriage and the closer he got, the more anxious he felt.

Lightening struck, the sound echoing in his ears as the dark skies reflected the gloom of London. He looked up, as he held one foot onto the carriage steps, ands watches a small and insignificant drop of water fall and hit his nose. He could almost see it in slow motion, the beginning of a storm. In that moment he saw it.

"My Lord, you are getting quite drenched, quickly get inside!" Sebastian exclaimed.

" Sebastian. Like this raindrop, immortality really is fucking useless. I'm not gaining anything but more rain."

Ciel was very serious when he said this, so serious that Sebastian even so raised his brows a tad as the rain sped up rapidly.

Ciel stepped inside, not caring about how wet his clothing was. He stared at the floor blankly.

What if he made a mistake? Sebastian didn't even advise him on this matter. How would he tell her? How would she react? Would she hate him? They were all damned to be bound to earth now, never to die or move on to hell or heaven. Forever in limbo, never to experience the transformation into the afterlife.

Ciel recalled Lucy's last words as they proceeded to open the portal back to the human world. : "Since I like you and your adorable little demon family I won't be too hard on you! I'll just have errands here and there for your to run for me."

Errands.

He was errand boy once again, accept it wasn't for the Queen, but for the king of hell.

To save lives he damned their souls. What did that make him? Did it even matter at this point though? But he wouldn't tell her. Not yet. Not while she carried the descendant of the Phantomhive legacy.

Ciel was under a lot of pressure and he could feel the weight burying him alive.

Suddenly the carriage came to an abrupt stop that nearly knocked Ciel over.

"What the bloody-"

The carriage took an abrupt sharp turn to the left.

"Excuse me Master but something isn't right at the manor! I'm taking a short cut!"

Ciel felt his heart jolt.

"What are you going on about?!" Ciel shouted out the curtained window, the speed making the hair on his head blow annoyingly around his face.

"We must hurry! I don't think there's time for an explanation!"

Ciel growled and sat back. Sebastian's lack of words was getting on his nerves.

If anything happened to his most loved he would never forgive himself.

Then, there was that smell.

Burning.

There was a fire, that crisp smell of burning wood... His nostrils flared and memories of his past flooded with pain through his body. He nearly felt sick.

They rushed through the gates and the carriage swung as the horse reared.

Ciel plummeted out and grew terrified at the sight.

"Witch! She's a witch! Burn her!" shouted a crowd of townsfolk that surrounded his manor, torches lighting the night.

"Sebastian ! " Ciel shouted, and already behind seeing as his butler was no where in sight.

Ciel snarled and pushed his way through the crowd cursing at everyone.

"Get out! Out of my property you idiots!!!" People barely noticed him and he could feel his body heat up in anger as he shoves his way through, his strength stronger than normal.

As he made it to the front in his horror he saw Star, struggling against two masked men as they tried to tie her to a post...her black and red wings exposed.

"Let her go!!!" Yelled Ciel in a rather booming voice that almost sounded like a roar.

Silence came to the crowd as a man wearing a white mask waved. The mask was all white with a rather disturbing smile on it, his hair long and black, and he wore a silk black robe.

Star cried for Ciel, and the masked man, assuming he was their leader, tilted his head curiously at Ciel.

" Ciel Phantomhive is it? We've been waiting for you." He sang.
