*1 Week Later*

“You still haven’t told me what happened between you two last week.”

“Nothing happened,” I rolled my eyes. How many times was it now? Six? Seven? Ten? I couldn’t even keep track anymore.

“That’s what you said to Lou,” the curly haired boy raised an eyebrow at me.

“Because it’s true. Nothing happened,” I answered once again. Man, these boys were persistent.

“Then what did you guys talk about?”

“Stuff.”

“Like..?”

“Stuff.”

“So detailed.”

“Well it’s none of your business,” I snapped, flashing him a fake smile before heading the other direction. I groaned when I heard his heavy footsteps following behind me.

“You know, I can just get-”

“Hey Brie,” I smiled despite myself, just hearing his voice did that to me.

The Bradford boy cocked an eyebrow at Harry who’s eyes were narrowed at us both, “So I don’t even get a hello anymore? Oh, I see how it is. So Gabby’s just gonna replace me right?” His curls flopped with each word.

I frowned playfully, “Aw, Haz, you know that I could never-”

“Save it,” he interrupted, throwing his hands up in the air, surrendering, “Whatever. You like her more than me. It’s fine, I get it. I just thought we had something special you know?”

Zayn opened his mouth but before he could say a word, the Cheshire boy walked out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him.

We bursted out in laughter.

It felt.. Nice.. being able to just chat and hang out with the boys, without the awkward tension that I had gotten so used to just a couple months ago. There were still times when things would be accidentally brought up, and it would get silent for a moment or two, but soon enough, it would be dismissed, a lost thought, forgotten. I liked it that way.

As for my “relationships” with the boys, they had all gotten stronger in some sort of way.

Liam was that “overly-protective” brother that I had always wanted. Someone who I knew I could count on for being there for me. Stable, sturdy, always there in case anything happened.

Niall was, well, my strict “mom” I suppose.. Always telling me to “eat up” whenever I should’ve been dieting. Same as Harry- Except, he served the role as my other “big-brother”, the brother who you could be carefree with, who’d tease you and make fun of you, but deep down, you knew that he still loved you. Aka, the annoying brother who you found someway, somehow to still like even after all the pranks and jokes.

Then there was Zayn. Whose relationship with me was- Well, difficult.

We hadn’t told anybody about my birthday.. When we had kissed. I mean, it had been just a week since that ‘event’ , and the pap had been eating up the recent turn of events. Yes, Zayn had broken up with Perrie. But not because of what happened between us. It was more of a ‘mutual agreement’ is what the Bradford boy himself had called it. He hadn’t seemed too upset about it, which caused the media, the other boys, and even myself, to wonder, had he really even liked her in the first place?
