That it's okay to cry

She said she'd always be there  

Whenever I needed her most  

Where is she now?  

When my hearts began to roast

A friend once told me;  

We'd be friends forever  

Until the end of time, but  

My heart says that day, won't come never

She said we would never lose sight  

Of anythings and everythings  

Including each other  

Until we earn our wings

A friend once told me;  

Never give up when you think you fail  

Cause chances are  

If you do, you'll follow the right trail

She said to live life to the fullest  

Cause you ain't gonna get no where  

If you don't do anything  

So do your share

A friend once told me;  

Life is like a flower  

You start as a seed  

Then begin to grow with power

She told me to keep my head high  

To speak my mind  

To stay out of trouble  

And always be kind

School is about getting good grades  

And not getting caught in drama  

Or judging people by shades

She said life is like a card  

It's only the beginning of what's to come  

There's a gift in the end  

But you have to read the entire card, be smart no dumb

To be trialed and judged  

For all she has done  

That she needed this nudge
