*Chapter Seven*

Sophia's P.O.V

Friday had gone by fast. Adam had tried talking to me but I just ignored him. He obviously wasn't going to give up on being my friend. I really thought getting rid of him would be easier.

I was currently in Ms. Daphnee's dance studio teaching the girls one of the choreography's I had been preparing. Since there were was a solo in the beginning I decided that we would be holding auditions.

"Sophia, I really think you should do the solo." Argued Ms. Daphnee.

"No, this it's time for the girls to shine. I did that when I was smaller, I don't want to take the spotlight in their song." I answered trying to sound calm

"Fine then, I have another idea." She said not giving up on the idea of me not being in the show.

"What is it" I asked in annoyance

"You will prepare a solo to the song of your choice."

"But-"

"No but's, you are doing a solo"

"What? Why?"

"Because I said so, now start choreographing. You can use the room next door."

"What about the girls though?"

"I'll just have them practice what you taught them already and then we'll run over the choreography I taught them."

"Ugh fine."

I went next door and started to think of a song I could use. I settled down for a lyrical dance, but I still had to decided the song.

"What are you doing sitting down? You should already be dancing." Said Ms. Daphnee snapping me out of my reverie

"Well I don't know what song to do, I know that I want to do lyrical song." I said

"No, you are not doing a lyrical song i want you to do a jazz song mixed with hip-hop"

"What? Why?"

"I feel like you need something more upbeat. Listen sweetie I know what you went through wasn't easy and sometimes you feel like you need to let out your sadness by dancing but.... I don't know I think that only makes you sadder and brings back those awful memories."

I sighed "I know. It's just I feel like that will really take away my pain and believe me for a while it does but then all the memories come flashing back and seem so fresh like if it had just happened the day before."

"That is why I rather you do an upbeat dance."

"I agree. I don't want to remember my past any longer. From now on I will try and not do slow sad songs"

"That's the spirit honey, so do you have any idea of what song you might want to do know?"

"No... Actually I think I might just have a song on my mind."

"Well I can't wait to see it, so I'll leave you know so you can start choreographing."

"Ok, see you later Ms. Daphnee."

I settled down for Dance Without You by Skylar Grey. I warmed up to the song first and then I begun to choreograph to it.

After 3 hours of hardcore dancing I was satisfied with what I had choreographed for myself. I was actually pretty satisfied with it. And even though I was wearing a sports bra and some bike shorts I was sweating like a pig. I was just about to replay the song to rehearse my solo when my phone started to blare out music to cold shoulder by Adele.

"Sophia speaking." I answered my phone.

No one answered all I heard was heavy breathing.

"Hello? Who is it?" I asked while stretching reaching all the way down to touch my toes.

The breathing suddenly got heavier and heavier

"Hey Soph's" I heard from outside the studio making me jump.

The breathing had stopped as the person on the other line had hung up. I stayed frozen for a moment and then looked up at the person at the door.

"Adam." I said as I felt goose bumps rise up my entire skin feeling as if something terrible had just happened

"Sophia are you alright? What happed?"

"No, I'm fine. Just some stupid kid decided to prank call me." I looked at myself and mentally slapped myself for not putting my shirt back on as soon as I saw Adam. No wonder he was looking at me weird.

"Oh."

"Yea, wait what are you doing here?" I said as I ran back to the benches to put my shirt and sweat pant on.

"Well I went to look for you at your house and you weren't there so I went to different places where I thought you might be at and then I remembered you worked here so I figured you'd be here."He eyed me down smirking.

"Why didn't you ask Skylar were I was?" I hugged my body as I began to feel naked

"Well, she wasn't home." He looked down and started fidgeting with his feet
