Chapter 10- The Reaction

<Lauren's P.O.V.>

Wow. Darren...Darren Lee loved me? This is definitely unreal. I must be dreaming. Yeah, that must be it. 

I pinched myself multiple times to see if it was a dream, but it wasn't. Everything was real. Even the fact  that Darren loved me.

I hugged my knees and rested my head on them. Millions of pointless thoughts ran around my head like cars on a race track. I can't believe he loves me. But how? Why? He probably dated the finest girls 'casue he's a famous photographer. Then why does he love me out of all those girls?

This definitely had to be the most unbelievable event that happened in my little life.

I tried to clear my head with the biggest question I have right now.

Do I love him as well?

I really don't know. As I groaned in frustration, Darren came back in to the house.

"So, did you read it?" He said.

I just nodded my head in response. I bet I look like a bobble-head right now. I felt my face growing warmer as I stared into Darren's softly toned eyes.

He's definitely dreamy.

I felt my body heat rising with electricity circulating around.

 "So...Do you like me...?" Darren said with a dramatic pause in the middle of it.

Without thinking, my head automatically nodded.

Shoot. Once again, my stupid body doesn't listen to me at the most important moment.

I silently curse in my head for being so dumb. I fall into a hazy mist of thoughts until Darren's gentle voice brings me back to this world.

To my surprise, Darren took my hand and came closer to me.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He whispered in my ear.

I suddenly felt my heart melt down with warmth and love that I almost fainted again.

"M-mhmm..." I whispered back.

Argh...Why did I just say that? Now I'm his girlfriend. Who knows  when he'll dump me for some super model?

My thoughts were interrupted by Darren's action. I found him leaning closer and closer to me. So close that our faces were less than an inch apart. He pinned me against the wall and lowered his head.

Then...

He leaned in and kissed me.

I didn't know what to do so I just stand there with eyes wide open. The kiss only lasted about 10 seconds. Nothing intense. When he finished, he looked at me.

"Was that your first kiss?" Darren asked with a hint of curiousity in his voice.

"Y-yeah, it was" I said, stuttering a bit.

He stole my first kiss. How nice.

My thoughts were all blending in together into a world of mumbo-jumbo.

"Good, I always wanted  to steal my girlfriend's first kiss. The thing is that every girl I dated, kissed like a billion guys before me" Darren said as he grasped me into his arms and hugged me tightly.

I could feel his warm, steady breath on my head. Did he love me this much?

'Cause...

I think I'm starting to fall for him as well...
