Sonic's Gift

Sonic wants to send an early birthday present

So he went to the Death Egg Zone to find what he needed

On the way he picked up a ten box set of golden rings

To bring with him protection from the badnicks

“I want to get the best gift ever

To give her something to savor

I can’t just take the red shoes off my feet

And wrap those up in cardboard paper”

Unfortunately Sonic left the Death Egg Zone empty handed

He thought the end of the game would have the best present

But all he found was some trouble

When Eggman sent Metal after him

Sonic won’t give up so easily, not on something so important

He’s even willing to be patient in order to find this gift

Looking shore to shore on the on the Emerald Coast

For a sea shell she’ll say is the most beautiful

It wouldn’t be hard to take the Tornado and fly it over

But Sonic wanted to make sure the gift would come from him

And not a pass-me-down from Tails to Sonic to her

That’s just not special enough to be her gift

Sonic went down into the water of the Labyrinth Zone

Although he can’t swim on his own

He wandered through the caves alone

While he felt the time counting dow

“I’d like to take this bubble out of the water

But then I’d never make it back to surface

And I don’t think it’s something she could keep

Her present should be able to last awhile longer”

It’s nice for sonic to take his time

But this can’t wait a generation

The clock is ticking, and he still doesn’t have her present

And usually, he has things doe in less than a second

There is something that comes to mind

So very special, but it won’t be hard to find

The problem is he’ll have to go to the Hidden Palace Zone

To face the guardian of the shrine

“Knuckles you have to let me by

I want to give her a present no one else can

Just try and forget you saw me here today

I promise not to let it fall into the wrong hands”

“Alright you can take a piece, a very small piece

And make sure you don’t break the whole thing

Or I’ll have to go searching for it again

Remember, you owe me one”

So Sonic has his gift to give

Hopefully she’ll like it

Because there isn’t anything better he can think of

Than a piece of the Master Emerald on a bracelet
