A/N: Anyway, I manage to update this one again. Honestly, the plot of this stories is really going nowhere, I have plot-block =]] (OMG I hate all kinds of block these days... I even had assignment block LOL). Whatever, I will not drop this so don't worry. This one will be very slow update (sorry) because I want to finish "Come back to California"...
Okay, I'm sorry but this one is a little bit of a filler, giving characters' personalities and backgrounds. Just bare with me for this chapter. I'll try to put more drama in the next one :(
Finally, reviews are DIAMONDS!
02. The queen and the bee.
Yep! That was it. The seventh piece had finally arrived. Marvelous! However, Olivia would be in much less trouble if it were different from the sixth. At this particular moment of her life, Olivia just wanted to disappear to anywhere but here. Well, talking about differences, saying seventh piece was not exactly right because in front of her were about four different individuals, all staring at her with poker faces. Anyway, it was just some saying. Not important, moved on!
‘I’m sorry. I’m gonna find some place to dip in my embarrassment.’ Olivia sniffed again, running back to the living room. However, she could take a good look at her sister’s boyfriend and three other guys. Yes, they were truly in some kind of rock/emo band these days. At first she thought Eleanor’s boyfriend was something out of the norm, but now, when he had his sleeves up, she could see all kinds of tattoos on his arms. And the other three were the same: ‘printed’ with tattoos, loose tees, compact boots, tore up or waxed jeans and crazy hairstyles.
‘Hey, why are you crying?’ Sixth piece grabbed her arms as soon as she stepped into her living room. She could hear that the other threes were following them him closely. ‘Oh…’ He exclaimed when he saw the paused television screen.
‘I thought Eleanor is coming home. It’s 3 a.m. already.’ Olivia said. ‘Anyway, why are you here?’ She frowned, but before he could answer she spoke again: ‘Don’t tell me she’s gonna throw a party here in the next few minutes?’
‘Uhm, no.’ He smiled. ‘I forgot my sheets in her room so I come to get it. We’re about to play some of our songs.’
‘I see then. Please, just make yourself at home.’ She nodded. ‘Um… Sorry I forgot your name…’ She frowned, trying to remember his name… ‘Um…’
‘Dude. She’s the first girl that can’t remember your name!’ A guy with curly light brown hair with some blonde strands laughed. ‘That’s breaking news.’ The other two joined him cracking up.
‘It’s Ryan.’ Ryan stared at her surprisingly.
‘Ryan. Sorry about that. I don’t remember my sister’s boyfriends.’ Olivia said calmly.
‘I’m Nash.’ The guy mocked Ryan offered her a hand.
‘I’m Ian.’ The tall slim guy with long back curly hair smiled.
‘And I’m Jamie, Ryan’s brother.’ The last one with a shy face, which was covered by most of his hair, waved at her.
‘Nice to meet you guys.’ Olivia smiled back.
‘Well, I’ll get the sheets.’ Ryan pointed upstairs and ran up.
The other three sat down on the couch and started to ask her all kind of question. Even though she did not want to associate with them, but she guessed she could not acted like she did not like them straightforwardly. Turned out they were quite some decent guys despite their looks. And they were a small band from Nashville who had just signed a contract with a recording firm in L.A.. They were pretty excited about it. So Olivia hoped that L.A. was big enough so they would not meet. Like, tonight.
‘What kind of instrument each of you play then?’ Olivia asked.
‘I play drums.’ Jamie replied. ‘Nash plays lead guitar and Ian plays bass guitar.’
‘Ryan is the lead singer but he can play guitar as well.’ Ian added.
‘I’ve never seen a true artist before. You guys are the first.’
‘Really? You’ve never been to a concert your whole life?’ Nash asked surprisingly.
‘Well, you know my family isn’t that rich and working two part-time jobs when you were in high school did not allow you much time.’ She shrugged.
‘You must come with us then!’ Jamie suggested. Nash and Ian agreed immediately.
