Chapter Twentyone: Jai's POV
I woke up nice and early as usual but I felt gross. I suppose going into the sea and not being able to have a shower would make you feel gross though.
Anyway, I sat up and looked at Sky. She was quite a deep sleeper. As she slept she smiled, I hadn't noticed until today. I felt a grin spread across my face, I loved Sky.
I picked up my phone to check the time and Luke text me again.
what time are you home? you seriously need to meet this person. so does sky, she can make friends haha
I had a strange feeling that it was a girl, only because Luke said they could be friends. Not that Skyla being friends with guys bothers me or makes me jealous or anything, but Luke wouldn't just say that.
I told him we'll be home soon enough and woke up Sky.
'Come on, sleeping beauty. Why don't we just pack up and leave now? You know, before everyone else comes to the beach. Looks like it'll be a hot day.'
'Mmh, whatever.' She groaned and slumped back onto her sleeping bag.
I hopped up and got out of the tent, we didn't have too much to carry back since all the sweet wrappers flew away at night and the sticks and bbq won't need bringing back. Although, I don't understand how Skyla managed to bring the tent across on her own, must have been difficult.
My phone buzzed again in my pocket, Luke again.
great, and also tyler invited us to his party tomorrow. short notice but yeah, anyway you and skyla coming then?
I loved Tyler, he was such an amazing guy too. The fans seemed to have grown a liking to him aswell.
sure, i'll get sky a dress tonight, bye
Luke didn't reply to my last text so I just started to pack up as Skyla tried to get out of the tent. I told her about the party and she was totally up for it.
We managed to get the tent and other crap onto the beach before many people had arrived, but now we had the job of dragging it home. Yay.
But, obviously I was strong enough so I took the tent off of Skyla to show my manliness. I could tell that Sky was impressed by her facial expression, WIN.
I arrivived at home and dumped the tent on the front yard, laying down in relief. The sun was beating down today, hotter than yesterday already and it was only just turning 11. Especially hotter than two days ago when it was pouring down with rain uncontrollably - I blame global warming.
'Who's car is that?' Sky asked, pointing to a black audi.
'Erm, I'm not too sure actually. Maybe it's Luke's friends... I don't know.' I replied, standing back up.
I unlocked the door and walked inside the house, heading straight to the kitchen to get some breakfast and a cup of tea.
'I'M HOME.' I shouted up the stairs.
'OKAY,' Beau shouted, sprinting down the stairs, 'Mum is out with Carla for a "girls day out" and Luke is with Em. What you making?'
'Em?' I questioned. Who was Em?
'Oh, Emily. Luke met her yesterday down the road because she was a fan or some shit,' Beau explained whilst raiding the cupboard and fridge, 'She seems nice. She slept over last night so yeah.'
'Is she like, my age?' Sky asked, obviously intrigued.
'Yeah, same age actually. You guys should get along nicely. Anyway, drink anyone?' Beau replied, we both wanted a tea so Beau set to work.
We were in the middle of eating jam on toast when we hear Luke scream, 'Race you down the stairs!' then we hear tumbling. Not like the sound of footsteps, but falling.
'LUKE!' Squealed a girl, probably Emily. I got up and ran to the bottom of the stairs were I found Luke in a heap, laughing.
'You okay mate?' I said, giving him a hand.
'Yeah, I just ran too fast.' Luke blushed, 'This is Em.'
'I know,' I smiled, 'Beau explained before. I'm Jai-'
'I know who you are, silly!' She laughed, I gave her a sweet hug.
'Oh, this is Skyla. Skyla, this is Emily.' Luke introduced when Emily had let go of me.
'Hey!' Emily greeted, cheerily. She seemed like a happy person. She hugged Skyla and Skyla returned the hug. Both of them walked into the kitched chatting about who knows what.
