Chapter One (Part1): New School.
We've just settled into our 'luxurious' new home in America.
It's Thursday today, Kelly and Rachel started school already on Tuesday. Turns out great for the girls, as they got praised for their beauty, innocence, and on the first day they made friends! What's even shocking is they're already popular in their grade! Wow!
Today's going to be my first day. Wonder how I'll survive this one.
I got into the new car with mom and so did the twins.
"Hurry Mom, we want to get to school!" Rachel moaned. I rolled my eyes.
Mom laughed. "I'm so proud to have keen learners in the family!"
Mom started the car; as soon as we arrived the twins were out the car.
"BYE MOM!" They called behind them.
I just sat in the car not really wanting to get out. I wasn't even half as eager as the twins. I'd surely get teased about something. However, I really hoped it wasn't the way I dressed.
I was wearing a knee length black dress with lace arms on the dress, black net floral tights, and a pair of black boots. I wore silver bangles, my curled hair was falling off my shoulders, and I had a pair of glasses on. They were huge... Like cinema glasses. It was also a curse upon me to have bad eye sight. There was no uniform at this school. In a way, that kinda sucked. I guess you know why.
"Come on hunny, get a move on." Mom told me.
I bit my lip and got out the car.
Loads of different types of kids went passed me. I couldn't really tell what they thought of me. Some guys went passed and turned their head. Girls looked me up and down. Some raised their eyebrows. Others just giggled or whispered. NOBODY said Hi.
Me and mom were due to meet the headteacher, no... Wait.. Principle, it's so easy to forget that I'm not in Britain anymore! They call it PRINCIPLE! Argh!
Me and Mom made our way into the school.
"MISS MARIE?" Someone called from behind. They were calling me I supposed?
It was a pale, skinny black-haired man. "Ah." He smiled.
He shook Mom's hand and then mine.
"Welcome to CenterScore High. Miss Marie." He warmly greeted. "I am principle Robert and you'll be studying in 11th Grade."
I smiled nervously and took in everything he said.
He explained the classes and where I was to go. He then handed me my timetable.
"Right." I said looking at it.
"First thing in the morning is homeroom. It's basically were you get registered down to notify that you are present." Principle Robert explained.
I was already getting funny feelings.
"So your ready now!" He said.
Now WAS homeroom. Time to get judged and grouped was my first thought. I saw alot of it on TV. It happened in America.
We walked down the corridor as Mr Robert took us to my homeroom.
"Mom, I feel sick." I honestly said.
"It happens! Your starting new at school." Mom comforted me, rubbing my back.
I sighed. "Mom, I don't want to be the school freak... Weirdo... Or any of that anymore. It happens to all the new kids."
Mom looked worried. But a smile broke through.
She shook me. "Just be you babe, just be you, be Juliet." She told me.
As soon as she said that she went.
"I'll make my own way home." I said to Mom.
"Okay." She replied.
"This way." Mr Robert guided.
Soon we were here.I entered the classroom with the weirdest feelings ever, a phobia. I was scared... of people.
There were kids already in there. They were 'hanging out'... tossing balls... talking and laughing. The teacher sat at a desk briefly analyzing something. She welcomed me warmly and showed me my seat.
I budged passed people. "Excuse me."
