So finally i updated! Yay! And i loved writing this chapter. :) But anyways, for those history buffs out there reading this, I know that the history is warped. I had to change some things around to make it work and it was not meant to be a perfect recounting of history. Also it messed up alittle when i transfered it so sorry if it looks weird. LAST THING: You pronouce *Xibalba* as *Shee-bal-ba*. Anyways enjoy! and if u have any questions just ask.

Chapter 9
Visions of the past raced through my mind, memories both good and bad stole my sight. The present disappeared as knowledge of the lives that my soul had lived before this one pushed to the forefront. Women of all ethnicities, shapes and sizes raced through my mind. Their emotions were mine, their thoughts were mine, and their decisions were mine. I was them. The things that they went through were what I had gone through. I had made mistakes but I now understood the reasoning behind the decisions I had made. I now understood why Luc and I were being reincarnated over and over again.
I awoke to a slight breeze passing over my naked flesh, the stone beneath me seem to scrape my skin with even the slightest movement. My arms were tied together above my head, while my legs were spread apart and chained to the corners of the lower half of the tablet. My waist length hair had been spread out around me, tickling my shoulders, neck and arms.
Why he had decided to do this i was unsure. He was going against everything we had helped create, all the creatures that we support. His actions would bring the end of the world as we know it but his need seemed to be override all logic.
I pulled at the restraints, hoping for a weakness in the chain, knowing that if i wasn't able to escape then we would all die. I turned to search my surroundings, surprised to find myself in the Pyramid of the Sun. By bringing me here he was officially shunning all of the gods and his responsibilities. Kukulcan, one of the most worshiped gods, would be furious if he found out that Xibalba plans to desecrate his temple. But that is only if he finds out before the balance is disturbed and the world is destroyed.
I could feel the time drawing near, as I fought to get loose. The sun was calling to me, warning me that its presents was needed. I could feel the balance begin to shift. I pulled at my restraints, blood running as my skin was cut open from my struggles.
“Your struggles are useless.” He said, his voice calm as he walked out of the shadowed corner slightly to my right. Xibalba, the Jaguar God of the Underworld, was always so calm, so cold. It wasnt until he had met me that he had allowed himself to feel anything in a long time but i guess having to deal with death everyday did that to you. The only time i see him show any emotions are on the few days we have each year and even then he always kept apart of himself from me.
“Please! You cant do this. You are destroying everything we have worked for, everything that we have created and nourished.” I said to him, trying to get him to see reason. His naturally gold eyes slowly darkened into the pitch black that was caused by the presents of his power.
“I can do as i please.” He shouted, slamming his fist into the stone wall. Rock broke and flew at the impact of his fist. “I am tired of this. The other gods are able to be happy with their mates. They see them everyday, they hold them, kiss them, make love to them but do i have those things? No! They stole that from me, they did this to us, and now they will know the feeling of loosing the only thing they hold dear. They will feel what i feel everyday that i don't have you to anchor me to this earth. They will not take you from me again!”
I couldn't help but watch as his muscles became more prominent in his anger. His body glistened in the firelight. His scars only making him more beautiful. I remembered tracing those scars on the few occasions that we had been able to be together. I could smell his scent from here as he paced to and fro. He had always smelt of dark chocolate and earth, a smell you would think wouldn't be pleasant but was still intoxicating nonetheless. I could feel my body succumbing to his mere presents.
