"It's okay, guys." Jessica managed feebly, "We all just need to calm down. Take a deep breath and calm yourselves." They all sat on the concrete floor. Liam and Danielle were wrapped in each other's arms as were Louis and Eleanor. Perrie was resting her head on Zayn's shoulder with his arm around her waist. Harry was sitting on one side of Jessica, holding one of her warm hands. Niall was on the other side of Jessica, his head resting against the wall and their fingers intertwined. Havoc and Nixon were sitting with each other near the rest of the group. They were all relatively close to one another, trying not to stray too far for fear of something happening, "Annabella is a smart girl. She'll get it."
"And if she doesn't?" Louis asked quietly. Jessica shook her head at Louis, telling him to have faith in Annabella, "How can I have faith in her when she got us stuck in this?" Louis practically shouted at Jessica, "She's risking our lives on some stupid little game! Who the fuck is that guy anyway? What does he have against us?" Louis shouted, his facing beginning to redden with anger. Jessica turned her head to the side, closing her eyes quickly, but immediately opening them again, "You know, don't you? Well go ahead, tell us!"
"Fine!" She weakly exclaimed, "Obviously, we don't know his real name, but she's been calling him X. He's been blackmailing her since the beginning of the summer, before you boy's got back to London. He was the real reason she went to Paris. At first it was just Harry's life on the line and she was doing everything he said just to protect him," She explained, glancing at Harry, "but now he's decided to play some sick game with all of our lives. He has nothing against us as far as I know. Whatever's stuck up his arse has to do with Annabella and Annabella only." Jessica paused, coughing into her elbow, "I don't mean to scare any of you right now, but I'm gonna be honest. If Annabella doesn't figure out who he is then right here, in forty-eight hours, we all die." Everyone was quiet, the only heard was sobbing.
Annabella paced the flat she shared with Jessica twelve hours later. Bags hung under her bloodshot eyes. X was threatening to kill everyone she had ever loved if she didn't figure out who he was. Annabella doubted that it was a directioner trying to get to Harry. If it was, they wouldn't be threatening Harry's life, they would probably be threatening hers. It had to be someone she knew, or at least, someone she used to know. They had distinctly mentioned a childhood memory of Annabella's, something that nobody would know about her unless they were family. Annabella covered her face with her hands and let a few tears slip. She couldn't lose Harry. She couldn't lose everything and everyone she cared about. She had already lost her parents, her grandmother and, no doubt, her other grandparents. Letting her hands frop from her face, she let out a shout of frustration, "Damn it! Damn it, damn it, damn it!" Annabella resumed pacing the long corridor that the two bedrooms and bathroom in. Annabella suddenly got an idea a few hours later and hurried into her bedroom. She threw the closet door open, pulling clothing off it's racks in an attempt to get to the shelf behind. There were boxes that contained pictures and childhood memories of her family.
She ripped the lid off the box and sifted through it to the bottom of the box. The earliest memories of her life that she didn't exactly remember. They were pictures of her from the day she was born to the day her parents died. As she got to pictures from primary school years, a dark haired teenager began to show up in the pictures more frequently. In the pictures she got older and three particular people showed up frequently; a ginger haired female, like herself, and two brunette males. Annabella knew just the person to go to in the facial recognition field. Fiona Dec, one of three best friends from college. She specialized in all things technical, from the latest facial recognition software to decrypting military grade firewalls. Fiona opened the door to her flat several hours later. Annabella only had twenty-four hours to find out who this man was and she wasn't going to waste anymore time, "Hey, Fi. I need you to do me a favor and it needs to be done within the next twenty-three hours." Annabella rushed. Fiona's amber eyes widened in surprise, but she nodded, sweeping some of her black dyed hair away from her eyes. Fiona invited Annabella in, asking what she needed, "I need you to use your facial recognition software to find out who these three people are." She brought the picture from her back pocket and held it out to Fiona, "I know it only works with people who are in the system, but one of them has to have a criminal record."
