rousing to the smell of pancakes isn't something you do every day (especially if you have a busy mom like mine)

i automatically get out of bed and  out of my room to find Maya is also up with the same puzzled look i have on

we both go down the stairs into the kitchen and find huge stacks of delicious pancakes on the dining table

"mom?" i ask

"oh good your up!" she says flipping a pancake in a pan

"whats up?" Maya asks, still puzzled

"what do you mean whats up? cant i make pancakes?" she says, handing us both big plates of stacked  pancakes

maya and i glance at each other

"if you say so" we say in unison and sit on the dining room table

mmmmm i love pancakes...

----

as soon as i go out the door, i get hit by the sharp biting cold and i pull my jacket tighter, i would go back and put on something warmer than this tiny little baby coat and a tank top but the stack of pancakes have done quite a lot on my getting ready time, i cross the street and find Ryan in his car.

yay! ride time

i lean into his window and tap on his window making him jump a bit. he roles his window down for me

"were you waiting for mua?" i ask him smiling with honor

"don't flatter yourself...my car broke down" he tells me

"oh" my smile turns into a frown "join me for the walk to school then?"

he nods pull out his keys from the ignition

"how long is the walk?" he asks as he gets out, closing the door behind him

"about ten minuites" i tell him as we start walking

we walk in silence for a while before i talk

"soo, there's a new horror movie coming out, do you think this towns only cinema will bring it?" i ask feeling stupid after i say it

he looks at me and then to the upcoming road

"nah, i doubt it. the only movies they bring are romance or comedy" he tells me

this is a horror junkie's worst  nightmare...bloody town!

"but I'm not sure, its been a while since I've been there" he says, probably feeling my anger

"then what do you do for fun around here?" i ask

"nothing that involves the town and its people"

"aah, great choice my good man"

i say in an attempt for an old British accent and he gives a little bow

"thank you!" he says (his accent better than mine)

"so what exactly do you do?" i ask him curiously

he thinks for a moment then answers "i spend most of my time in the forest; jogging fishing by the lake, stuff like that..."

"so your an outdoorsie guy huh?"

"i guess you could say that. what about you?" he asks

"well...hmmmm..." i don't know "considering I've only been in this town for two weeks, i haven't had much time to do anything" i say, not mentioning the tiny bit about stealing...i mean borrowing some files about his family and lurking around his house, which worries me a bit ; am i turning into a stalker?
