Chapter 15 – Spontaneous Seven and Spacious Skodas

“You look like shit.” I looked up at the sound of the voice, turning to see through the bathroom door and into our hotel room. The voice definitely wasn’t Dylan’s, it was too deep. Hobbling out, I frowned at the sight of Alfie.

“What are you doing here?” Lee asked, putting his shoes on. Hunter just rolled his eyes, flipping our friend off as he pushed past me into the bathroom.

The night before, we’d all gone back to the hotel room after giving Dylan the details on our location. It had to be one of the worst nights of my life. Kenzi had been suffering from some kind of insomnia, Hunter had found some vodka and had made himself ill and Lee was still brooding about his car. I would like to say that I was the sensible one that sorted everything out but I’d also helped myself to the vodka and had taken alternate shifts at the toilet with Hunter.

In the end, Kenzi had been the one to get our sorry asses into bed and then returned to her seat by the window sill to wait for Dylan to show up. And of course, Dylan hadn’t shown up. It was Alfie.

“I’ll second that,” Seb’s voice came from behind him, echoing into our room. Everybody but Kenzi was gaping at the door when Dylan joined them from the hallway, his blonde head poking in the space between them. Kenzi was just glaring at Seb, making the room incredibly tense. It wasn’t the funny sexual tension, either. It was more along the lines of ‘if you don’t get him out of here now, I will bite his head off and then use it as a football’ kind of tense. She wasn’t one to hold a grudge, she’d normally drop it without a care in the world but the fact that she was still glaring holes into the side of his face, meant that something more than just the argument went down.

“Right, well this is awkward, someone help me load the car up?” Alfie offered, striding forward and grabbing both Hunter and I, taking us from the room. I was still frowning when we were all standing in the corridor.

“Dante must’ve had a fit,” I said at last, leaning on the wall next to the door. Dylan shrugged.

“Nice to see you, too,” he teased, ruffling my hair. I slipped out from under his hand and shot him daggers, flattening my hair and then looking at Alfie, who was putting his ear on the door with Lee.

“He’s not happy. He just said that you’ll have to pay for the villas when you get back,” Alfie informed me, shrugging. “We’ll do the same but it’ll cost us more because we’ve been living in it. You guys haven’t, Dante said it’s cheaper,” he finished. Hunter scratched the back of his head and sat down on the floor, spreading his long legs out in front of him. I looked down but he just closed his eyes.

Ignoring him, I turned to the door, joining Dylan and the brothers to listen in. It was one hell of a fight, travelling with them wasn’t going to be any fun.

“You fucked Shack, Kenz!” Seb roared. I could hear some footsteps and slamming.
