The Sixth Sense(on hold)

My eyes shot open as the bright light began to flood my vision. I lifted myself from the lumpy bed that i lay on and tested my limbs, that were now responding to my commands. However this was different, before i felt like i was lifting a 300 pound weight but now my limbs were almost floating against my will. My whole body was relaxed, and felt like it weighed no more than a mere crows feather.

I gently pushed myself from my bed and looked in the mirror on the other side of the room. The girl that stared back at me had long blonde hair that fell around 5 inches past her shoulders, her eyes were bright blue and somehow looked so innocent compared to my own. Her skin was pale but it had a bright,healthy glow about it that made her eyes pop. And then i realised, the girl looking back, was me.

I looked older, like it had been 3 months since i had last looked in the mirror. I scanned the room to find no door or windows. How did i get in here?

"It isn't your time, Blue," a gentle voice sighed, shivers ran down my spine at that voice.

"Dad?" i choked back the tears that were threatening to spill over. A long beep invaded my ears and made my head begin to pound. That's when i felt a sharp pain in my chest,

"Clear!" someone yelled and then it happened again, the pain that made my chest thrust forward, it was so forceful i could feel the impact of the pain rattle bones.

"DAD!" i screamed out but i didn't hear a reply until i was almost unconsciousness.

"I love you, Blue," he whispered before i fell back into a deep sleep.

beep, beep, beep, beep, beep

The annoying sound rattled around in my mind until eventually my eyes fluttered open to find the source of the pain. Next to my bed was a giant machine that had uneven zigzagged lines over the screen. A heart monitor. My heart rate began to pick up as panic set in. What happened to me? My lips were dry and cracked, i stretched over to the jug and poured it in my mouth, not caring about the water that dripped down my front.

The sound picked up speed the more i began to hyperventilate, suddenly a small figure was at my side,holding my hand and trying to calm me, instantly i relaxed into my bed as their face became visable.

"Tj?" i choked and she nodded,

"What happened?" i asked through breaths as i found it more and more difficult to suck in the air. She sighed and pulled up a chair next to my bed, i knew that i was in a hospital but i couldn't shake the feeling that i wasn't safe. Someone was watching me,other than Tj.

"When you blacked out at macdonalds, you were brought to the hospital but you walked out without anybody knowing and then went missing for 2 weeks, we were worried sick. But then a month ago Kane found you passed out in a bush and you were covered in cuts in the lower part of your stomach. Someone had stabbed you. The pain was clearly unbearable for you and so your body went into dream state where you went into a coma. Soon after your body wasn't responding and so your heart found it difficult to pump blood around your body, when eventually it fail and you flatlined for 7 minutes. " Tj looked at me with a worried expression before tears began to fall down her cheeks.

"Please don't ever run away again," she whispered and wiped the tears from her cheeks. I gripped her hand tighter and tried to remember what had happened. Tj's story made sense but it didn't feel right, something was missing.  I searched my memory for the clues but the more i thought about it the harder it became to think.

"Where is Kane?" i asked her, searching her eyes for answers but coming up with nothing.

"He stayed with you everyday until yestereday the nurses said he had to go home and rest. I guess he felt like he had to stay seeing as he found you," she muttered the last part more to herself than me. And that's when all the memories hit me and sat on my shoulders as heavy as a ton of bricks.  Kane, he had taken me away for my own safety, Sam was there, Kane was the fox, and then the unbearable pain, someone really was cutting me from the inside out. How could they do that? Surely it was impossible, but then again what i could do was surely impossible.

"Can you ring him for me?" i asked as she nodded and walked out of the room. Her eyes full of relief and sadness which made me tense up inside. I hated being the reason that she was sad.

"I'm sorry Tj," i whispered to the empty room.
