Chapter Twenty

I walked into my pack house, shoulders sagging and lips parted. Tears were still coming down my face. Not ten minutes ago did I see my brother and friend run away, permanently becoming rogue. I have just lost another great person in my life. All because Aiden is so damn selfish!

This has got to be fixed. Aiden has to fix this! His cousin has left us because he wouldn't let Storm join our pack. Is it just me or is that the rudest thing ever?!

I heard footsteps and saw Samson walk down. He took in my tear streaked face, looked around the house and then scrunched his eyebrows together. "Summer? What happened?" He asked, worry written all over his face. He reached out for me and grabbed my wrist. "You're shaking." He wrapped me up in his arms and rubbed my back as if trying to warm me. I never realized I was so cold until I was pressed up against his warm body.

Being in Samson's embrace, I broke down. I sobbed in his shoulder, grabbed his shirt in fists and let out screams. Samson held me, not allowing me to face this by myself. He whispered sweet words to me and I wished that this was Aiden. That Aiden would be kind enough to comfort me. But he is the one who caused this pain.

"Jamie... She left." I choked out. Samson tensed and pulled away to look at me with confusion. I nodded slowly and sniffled, closing my eyes. "She went rogue with Storm." I whispered. Samson let out a low growl before he pulled me into another hug. And I continued to cry. Cry for my brother. Cry for Samantha. And cry for Jamie. I wanted all of them back!

I grew extremely weak, causing Samson to scoop me up in his arms and carry me up the stairs to my and Aiden's bedroom. He knocked on the door and Aiden ripped it open quickly. He looked angry but when his eyes settled on me, his anger evaporated and was replaced with worry and concern.

"What happened?" Aiden asked, grabbing me from Samson and I instantly felt better. My shaking ceased and I let out a purr in delight as I wrapped my arms around him. Samson told him about Jamie leaving and Aiden let out a vicious snarl, causing me to whimper. He pressed a sweet kiss to my forehead and gently shushed me. "It's okay, baby." He whispered and walked me back to the bed. Samson left.

"I'm sorry Aiden. I'm so sorry." I cried as he tucked me into bed and slipped in behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist. He kissed my shoulder consistantly as he tickled my stomach like earlier today.

"Sh. Don't speak. Just go to sleep. We'll figure everything out in the morning." I let out a content sigh and turned around so I could rest my head on his chest. Aiden wrapped his arms around me protectively, tucking me under his chin. I played with the hem of his shirt and then looked up at him.

"Can you play for me?" I whispered. Aiden stared at me for a moment before he touched my cheek gently and got out of bed to fetch his guitar. When he got back, I snuggled into his side and closed my eyes as he played a gentle hymn. He even sung a little and hummed the rest. He has a beautiful talent and it put me to sleep almost immediately.

I woke up with most of my body sprawled on top of Aiden's. He was still sleeping peacefully, causing me to memorize his face with my eyes. He was surly beautiful. Selfish but beautiful. I kissed his chin and ran my fingers through his silky hair. Aiden's afternoon shadow that he forgot to shave felt course against my lips as I kissed up his jawline, towards his cheeks, to his nose and finally down to his lips.

"This is a prefect way to wake up." Aiden said, opening one eye. He stared at me with hunger as he tightened his arms around me. I giggled and kissed him deeply for a few second before pulling away all together. I got out of the bed and grabbed his guitar that he leaned against the table.
