Rosalyn

Rosalyn woke up quite happy this monday morning. She did not know why but her smile stretched from ear to ear. She remembered today was her birthday "7 years old," she thought . But when she picked up her hand she felt wood stopped her from going any further . "Oh well i wont be able to reach the lights this way." She put her hand back in the darkness smiling. Her bed seemed quite hard today maybe it was because she was so eager to get up, but she waited patiently for her parents to come into he room to sing her happy birthday. They never came, she waited and waited but all she could hear were the crickets chirping quietly. “I cant wait ay longer!” she thought. She pushed the wooden surface over her head until she was able to move the heavy wood out of the way. Then she got up still smiling. “Maybe they're playing hide and seek.” She started walking around noticing she hasn't been sleeping i her room, but in a church. The church was empty, emptier than the ocean at a quick glance. The church was was to, but she could see a faint light in the distance. She slowly walked out to follow the light, she noticed the light was also moving but in the opposite direction. She started running towards it to catch up and when she was close enough she saw a man walking away holding a lantern in one hand and a shovel  in the other. She asked the man ‘ what game do you want to play?” The man stopped and slowly turned around, but when they met eye to eye with Rosalyn all of the blood from his face was flushed out. He dropped the lantern and hit the floor, breaking and leaving Rosalyn in the darkness once again. The man started to run “ Oh I like tag,” she said. So she started running after him. After a few minutes of playing “tag” he started to slow down because he was getting tired but Rosalyn wasn't tired, she felt as fresh as the time she woke up from her sleep. “Are you getting tired? come on i want to play some more.” Rosalyn said with excitement This made him start running faster and faster. But sadly it didn't last long because he fell down and twisted his leg in a funny position. When rosalyn caught up to him she started laughing seeing the man in agony. She thought this was hilarious so she twisted the other leg, then the arm. “Get the fuck away from me” he said in agony. “That wasn't very nice, All wanted was to play” she said. She got the mans head and twisted it to match the rest of his body. She stepped back and admired her “masterpiece”. “I like this game,” she said as she walked away looking for more people to play with.
