How did you find out about wattpad?
My best friend Molly told me about it! ^-^ She is so awesome!
What's your favorite memory from wattpad?
I have several. One is when I woke up the next morning after I published my book, "Vanish", after I advertised like crazy the night before. I looked at my book and noticed how many reads it had already. It made me feel like my work was well paid off. Another good memory is when I decided to read all the comments on my story, and I loved how my readers loved my story. It really makes you feel loved. Lastly, talking to Molly here of course. We have so many inside jokes and good times. I have no friend better than her.
What's your favorite thing to do on wattpad?
Definitely writing my stories, and reading all my comments. They leave me smiling and feeling so elated. I don't know what I would do without my readers.
Can you relate to any of your stories? How?
Well, yes, in a way. Since I am a girl, that is usually the sex of my main character, and I always incorporate a little bit of myself into the characters. I like to feel like I'm them, and I put myself in their situation, then I write how I would react. So basically, most of my characters are a reflection of me.
How do you get ideas and inspiration?
Sometimes they come on a whim, but generally, they come through music. I see the plot in my head, and it evolves from there. The music sets the mood.
How do you conquer writers block?
Haha, that's a good question. Usually I go through my playlist, or turn on the radio to hear an inspiring song, and that usually works. If not, I sleep on it, then try again when I wake up.
How do you block out hateful comments?
I don't believe I've had a hateful comment. Should it happen, I would apologize to the reader if I had somehow managed to offend them. If it's criticism your referring to, I welcome it with open arms. I want my readers to tell me exactly what they think. They're opinions help me become a better author.
Is there anything you want to tell your readers, or other writers?
Yes. To my readers: I appreciate all you have done for me. You truly warm my heart when I see a new comment on my story. I want to be the best author I can be for you guys. To the writers: Don't force a story out of you. Let it come to you on your own time. It's important to persevere and keep going, even if your story isn't getting very far. A story you write can come across as an interpretation of yourself, so if it isn't you, don't write it. Never give up if writing is what you love. I wish you all the best of luck with your stories in the world of literature.
What's your favorite character from one of your stories? Why?
Oh that's hard. Asking that is like asking a mother which is her favorite child! I guess maybe it would be... Oh I just don't know! Haha.
Which one of your characters resembles you the most? How?
I think it would have to be Zaylie. We are both secretly hopeless romantics, and both of us can be self-reserved, but we both have our moments of spontaneity, though I'm not currently being tracked down by werewolves. Haha.
Which one of your stories would you recommend to your readers? Why?
Well I don't have many stories published, and my most successful story is Vanish. I think that would be the one, because I've been told anyone can find something in that story they would love, whether it be romance, werewolves, murder, suspense and action, or a bit of mystery.
Any final words?
Yes! I am so glad for the opportunities I've gotten and what I've achieved on my own. I would never have known how well people would enjoy my stories if I hadn't ever joined Wattpad. I'm also considering joining the 2013 Watty Awards next year, but I still feel like I have a long ways to go. Whether you are on Wattpad to read, or write, maybe both, I wish you the best and much success!
