The Safety Tower

You are like

A tower, built block by block. 

Safe and sound.

Rain, wind and snow threatened to tear you down. 

You stood through it all,  but then one day the final blow came.

A crack started at the bottom, and went all the way to the top

and you crumbled down.

Your world fell apart and so did mine.

The safety I once depended on, is now gone.

I have to be strong for myself and you too.

Where did the safety go? 

Where is the comfort and security I knew so well? 

My safety tower was destroyed today.
