Chp.3

A/N(for the sake of time, I'm going to call elementals 'Benders' instead.)

I followed Jade outside and instantly my mouth went open in the shape of an 'o'. There were Benders all over the place! A couple water benders stood in perfect form, watching what looked like a teacher teach them water bending.

I watched a little. This was pretty interesting!!!

The teacher had his hands hovering out in front of him and he was facing a small pond covered with algae and lily pads. His eyes were shut, concentrating as he lifted his hands. I saw a stream of water follow his movements and jump right out of the pond, obviously being controlled by his hands. He brought them up over his head and swirled his arms one at a time around himself. The water followed, moving faster and faster until it eventually turned into a moving ball of water. Keeping up his strong movements, he slowed his hands down and pushed them out horizontally to his sides, palms flat and perfectly vertical. The water kept spinning and spinning around him, cascading like a waterfall. The students looked to be around my age, and there was about twelve of them.

The teacher slowly brought down his hands, and the water stopped spinning and went back into stream form. Then he made a pulling movement and gently dropped the water back into the pond.

A couple of the students tried to mimic his move, and all but one of them failed. The one that actually got the ball spinning had blonde hair...and a familiar smile...Aiden! It was the guy that helped kidnap me!

Suddenly a hand was waving dangerously close to my face. Hey, I have personal space too! And, I value it.

"Ava? Wake up! I know you think he's good looking and all that, but seriously, don't stare!" Jade said as she pushed her face up to mine with an annoyed expression

I pushed her away and laughed lightly. Him? Good looking? Well...maybe a little bit. But he was still my kidnapper, so I didn't trust him.

"Alright, alright. And I wasn't staring. I was just...observing. Remember, I'm new to this 'controlling the elements' thing." I said as I rolled my eyes and walked with Jade

"Whatever. Come on! There's so much to show you!" she squealed excitedly

Not too far ahead were a group of people in red uniforms. They also had a teacher in front of them. Like before, there weren't too many students...maybe around 20 or so. The teacher was doing a series of karate moves which the students mimicked perfectly. With every fist punch came a burst of red hot energy. Fire. On the end of the front row of students, closest to me, was Xavier. I can't believe I remember his name.

His punches weren't the same as the others. They flowed, more like the water benders, but still lethal. And what he produced was COMPLETELY different as well. Lightning, like a whip, came out of his fists. It was bright blue and looked deadlier than a cobra's bite. That was when I noticed that all the other students were farther spread away from him. They were scared of him.

He turned and seemed to notice me watching. He said something quickly to his teacher that I couldn't see, with which the teacher nodded and Xavier started to jog over to us.

Jade suddenly perked up and gripped my arm harder.

"Ow! Stop that Jade!" I said as I tried to force her hand off of me

She immediately let go, but kept her gaze on Xavier unwavering.

"Sorry." She said

I rolled my eyes. She was SO not sorry.

"Hey guys!" Xavier said as he reached us

I gave him a sceptical look that said 'I Don't Trust YOU.' And he took a step back.

"How come you're not out of breath? You just ran like a kilometre to get over here or something." I said haughtily

"Ava!! Why are you being like this?" Jade said angrily while swatting at me

"It's all right Jade; she has a right to be mad at me. I mean, I kind of stole her away from all she knows and dumped her in the land of fairy tales and Elementals!" he laughed "Oh, and I'm not out of breath because I'm in shape."

"How come you got away from your class? Shouldn't you be training?" I asked with my hands now on my hips

"Well, yeah, but my fire Master excused me to talk to you. Come on... can't we just be friends?" he asked pleading

I sighed and dropped my hands from my hips, grinning a tiny bit.

"Well... I guess. As long as I am living in this freak Elemental school, I may as well survive it with friends." I gave in easily

"Awesome!!! We can all be like, best friends!!!" squealed Jade as she tried to forcefully pull us into a group hug

Xavier's body mashed against mine and I could FEEL his eight pack chest against me!!! He has an EIGHT PACK!!! Well... I think he does anyways. Even though it was just a group hug, something felt...right, about being with Xavier. He had an earthy, pure smell about him that I actually started to like during that 'Group Hug'. I blushed, feeling heat rise to my face.

We pulled apart and before Xavier saw me blush I turned away.
