Kisses and tingles

I loved embracing her. Her scent. Every strand of hair, I missed. I love holding her, knowing she is safe with me.

We stood in the hallway. It was silent, but it was very comforting. All you heard was our breathing. I rested my chin lightly on her head. I wrapped my arms around her small frame.

She pushed up against my chest and wrapped her arms around me.

Every single time she touched me, it sent tingles through my entire body.

I couldn't have asked for more. Kendra was my everything. She's perfect, more than perfect.

She wiggled out of our embrace, looking deeply into my eyes. I couldn't help but notice each sparkle that twinkled. A tiny smirk appeared on my face. Holding her, being with her felt like a fantasy.

"What?" She asked, looking more than cute.

I slightly shook my head, "Move in with me?"

A crease formed in between her eyebrows. She tilted her head. I couldn't help but giggle.

"What do you mean?"

I smiled and leaned down to kiss her forehead.

"We'll make this a guest room."

I looked at her waiting for her expression. I was hoping I wasn't being too forward or moving too fast. I must've said something right because she seemed to be glowing. A smile crept up on her face.

She nodded, eagerly.

"It wouldn't be a problem, would it?" She asked.

I grabbed her into a hug and rested my chin on her head. "I wouldn't have asked, Ken."

She tightened the grip around me.

We walked into her old room. I looked at her, it seemed like she was happy to be moving out of this room. I was glad that I knew I could make her feel safe.

I didn't know I was admiring her from a distance until she broke my daze.

"You alright?"

I nodded and smiled, going towards her dresser. We took out the dresser drawers and put them onto my bedroom floor.

"Ready, 1-2-3!"

I grabbed one end of the empty dresser and she grabbed the other. We waddled our way into my bedroom and placed it next to my dresser.

"Stay here and put the drawers back in, I'll grab your clothes."

She nodded and I turned on my heels. I opened her closet and grabbed the tops of the hangers, grabbing most of her clothes. My eyes landed on the creamy white dress. The memories rushed back into my head. I bought the dress for her the night before I had to leave. I set up a scavenger hunt for her to find the surprise party.

She looked beautiful that night. I smiled remembering everything. My smile soon vanished when I remembering getting the phone call. My heart sank. I didn't want to remember them. I wanted to burn the memories and throw them out to sea, never to be remembered again.

This time I wanted to protect her. I never want to leave her. I want to promise her and Macy that she can feel safe. I was going to try everything possible to never make this happen again.

"You need help?" She asked, popping her head in the room.

She smiled as she saw what I was holding. She walked over towards me and ran her fingers over the dress.

"I remember that night." She smiled. "It was beautiful. The dress was beautiful." She looked up at me.

"Thank you, Zack."
