Chapter 6: Secrets

Blake's POV

As I walk into the living room, I see that Cameron is sitting next to Nicole. Wow, my own little brother, who thinks spider bites will get him to shoot webs, got my mate's number before me. How does that happen? Well forget your brother and that's how.

I sit on the other side of Nicole. Cameron is going on and on about Spiderman. Nicole is paying attention, and I lean toward her and whisper, as I say, "You really listening?"

She holds up her finger and says "Cam, I think you should tell your dad all these fun facts about Spiderman. Blake here wants to talk to me."

"Okay. Daddy....." Cameron starts to talk to my dad.

"You understood him? I barely can keep up with him," I say.

"Not a word. He just wants someone to listen to him and I gave that to him. He is so cute. What happened to you?" She says, smirking.

"Oh..... you didn't just go there. I am cute, well I was. Now I get compliments like smoking hot, sexy, god from above, attractive, the next Channing Tatum, etc. I see you staring," I say, winking at her.

She laughs and says, " To me you are an aphrodisiac."

"English please?" I say, confused.

"Google it," She teases. winking back at me.

I smirk at her, then I say, "You are one of a kind."

"Thank you. You, my friend, are also one of a kind. Like I never met someone who forgot their own brother at the mall," She says.

Man, people are so not going to let me forget about that. I think to myself.

"I didn't mean to. I had alot on my mind. I feel guilty. I was about to go run after him. Have you ever had one of those days where you have so much on your mind, you forget the important things?" I ask sighing.

"I know the feeling. I am not mad at you. People make mistakes. You learn from it and move on," She says.

"Try explaining that to my mom," I say under my breath.

As my mom comes out with the food, I notice Ash, Jamie, Ethan, and Seth, another friend of mine, are here with my mom, dad, and brother. God for some weird reason, I just want to hide. I don't trust these people in the same room as my mate.

Food is served, and we begin eating when my mom says, "So Nicole, you are really known in town. Our side of the town never knew the Heavens family had a girl at all. Where have they been hiding you?"

"Well I lived here in town since I was one year old, then I moved. My dad is very known. Well that's what he says. I don't know that for sure. I lived in London my whole life," She says.

"Sweet. Can you speak in a british acent?" Ethan says.

"I can, but I like speaking american. Plus if I did talk british my brothers will tease me. So I stick to american," She explains.

"So you lived in London while your brothers were here. Did you see them often? I can't imagine a girl like you being without family," My mom says, trying to get info out of her.

"They visited once a while. I saw them a couple times, but we would call or write to each other. I had my mother with me, so it was nice," Nicole says.

"So how was your childhood? All we know is you have an icredible voice because the priest mentioned it," My dad asks.

"I had a decent childhood. I grew up performing for people. What my mom wanted me to do, I did it. She wanted me to do pageants, I did them. She wanted me on Broadway, I did that. I did lots of performing. It was fun, no lie about it," She says.
