Do you wish for war,
in this peaceful time?
Do you want revenge,
when I'm full of life?
Do you seek for green,
when it's always blue?
Do you wish you were dead
when I sing "I...You"?
The sky is bright
and the sun sends it's fire
The snow is down and it's a big, big
Liar,
with stains of red,
on a stainless white,
They match the blood,
on your hands, that night.
A shiver down your spine
proves that I'm right.
There is no more TWO,
it's just ONE and I,
Touching of faces,
Cold illusions of the night,
with Red stained lips
On a pale,pale
White.
Do you see my hands,
They are red with blood.
You said I made them so,
by taking your wife,
To the land of the Dead,
which is far away,
And I returned to life,
on a black mockingjay.
So...
Do you wish you were dead,
when I bring you back
The last thing she said,
from the depth of her heart?
The sky is bright
And the sun sends it's fire
on a green,green field,
surrounded by blue.
To where the innocents have no clue,
that safety is tainted,
with water from the sea
In which eyes of monsters
Lie open deep beneath.
Do you see that bird,
that's right outside?
Do you see its wings,
that are black as night?
Look at it well for it is I,
and my wings are ready,
to take me high.
A witness, nothing more,
Who's seen you give
Your only love...
The eternal kiss.
So...Do you wish you were dead,
when for one more time,
I bring you back,
the last thing she said,
From the depth of her heart...
"I...You".
I wrote this after I had just finished reading the last novel from The Hunger Games Serie, as most of you who've read it probably realised, at the mention of the mokingjay. I think it's weird and a bit twisted. It's actually a song, but of course I won't sing it to you. The lyrics tell a story and I'm curious if it managed to be told through them.
Thank you for reading.
