Hi, there (:

In the words of that one chick from How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days: Drama, drama, DRAMA.  Yeah, that's right.  I told you there'd be drama in this chapter, and I definitely followed through.  Just to throw this out there, I absolutely loved writing this chapter...even though I was half asleep as I wrote the end xD

Anyway, this chapter is dedicated to HMKripplen for literally forcing me to write this.  It probably wouldn't be done yet if it wasn't for her, to be honest.

I hope you liiiike it!  Some of you will hate me, some will love me.. Others will realize that no matter what happens in this chapter, the possibilities in this story are endless!  If you haven't noticed yet, anything can happen! ;)

                We didn’t get much swimming in before the first sounds of the approaching storm were heard – soft rumblings far off in the distance that would be getting closer eventually.  And the dark clouds above us were ominous-looking enough that no one wanted to chance it.  We hurried back towards the safety of the beach house, drying ourselves as we went. 

                The coming storm was tangible, even inside.  It was something about the thickness in the air, a sudden smell that was a bit different from the ocean’s salty scent I was getting used to.  The hairs on the back of my neck and arms stood erect as I found myself gazing out the glass wall at the roughness of the ocean.  Were we safe in here?  The water looked menacing – I’m surprised we lasted in it as long as we did.  Each passing minute seems to bring another round of waves that were rougher than the last few.  I tried to reassure myself that they wouldn’t build a beach house as nice as this one in harm’s way.  Someone had to have planned for a few nasty beach storms.  I was worrying myself over nothing.

                “Shit, it’s cold in here,” Aubrey breathed, her small body rocking with shivers.  Niall, behind her, draped his slightly damp towel over her shoulders.

                “I can turn the air down,” Jenner decided, trying to towel dry her hair.  “But I feel like we’ll end up regretting that.  Just go dry off and put some clothes on.”

                Aubrey stuck her tongue out before snatching one of her friend’s bags off the ground and lugging it into the bathroom with her.  I almost smirked when I caught sight of the happy, amused smile on Niall’s face as he watched her go.

                “I’ll be back,” I announced, hanging my towel around my neck.

                “I’m coming,” Lou said, and the two of us bounded up the stairs to our room. 

                We dried ourselves off and changed in silence, and I decided that I was going to take a shower later.  The salty water had made my skin feel strange.  After a few minutes of being in the comfort and quietness of our room, I didn’t want to go back downstairs.  There was too much on my mind, and honestly I was a bit knackered.  If it wasn’t so late already, I’d probably take a nap.  But in just a few hours, we’d all be heading off to bed anyway.
