I'm Touring With Who? (One Direction Fanfic)

Okay so I have some things to say. Positve! and negitive, so first.. I am super uber sorry that it took sooooooo long to get this chapter up. i had a softball championship (BTW: our team won! You are now reading a story written by a softball champ!). I also went up to my friends cabin for the weekend. But while I was at her cabin I did type up about two pages so yeah. Chapter 10:

“Alex, wake up I have to tell you something important!” Clare says and she sounds worried and her voice is hoarse like she’s been crying. I instantly wake up.

“What’s wrong Clare? Have you been crying?”

“Well, you know how I called my mom today. Well she wants me to come home.”

“Why?”

“You know Grandpa Rich?”

“Oh no, Clare I’m so sorry.”

“He’s in the hospital. He has lung cancer and the doctors don’t think he’s going to make it.”

“Oh no Clare.” I wrap her in a hug, and she starts crying.

“My grandpa never smoked, my grandma did all the time. She’s fine but my grandpa isn’t.” She cries. “When we get to Springfield I need to be taken to the airport. My mom is supposed to be waiting there for me.”

“Anything for you sugar.” I hug her tighter. I rub her back. “It’s going to be okay. It’s going to be alright.”

“But Alex, the doctors think he’s going to die.” She stifles between sobs. 

“Just think as it this way. If he dies, he will be happy and he will feel amazing! He won’t hurt anymore. He will die with the best family a guy could ever have. He knows that your family and you love him to pieces. It’s going to be okay. He won’t suffer anymore.”

“Okay. It’s just I don’t want him to die.”

“Do you want him to suffer but be living?”

“Well,” I cut her off.

“Clare, when my great grandma past away. I was right by her side and she said. ‘Alex, when you grow up, do marvelous things. Don’t be an accountant that’s boring. I did that for 15 years and hated every single second of it. Be what you want to be, for me.’ And she said that she loved me and that when she dies she will be happy and that she wants me to do everything she didn’t do. She also said that we should cry because she past but we all did anyway. So, Clare my point is that my Great grandma wanted to die. She didn’t want to suffer anymore. She didn’t want to live and hurt. No matter what we told her she wanted to go.” Tears are staring to form in my eyes. 

“You’re right. It’s not my choice but my grandpa’s. Thanks Alex.”

“Anything for you. If you want I can go with you.”

“No, you have to stay here. I can do it by myself.”

“Are you sure? I’m sure the,” Clare cuts me off.

“I can do it Alex. I have family there to help me. You do your thing.”

“Will you come back on tour with me?”

“I don’t know. It’s my parents call.”

“Alright.”

“Girls we are here. Clare what’s wrong?” Louis comes in.

“Alex will explain it to you later. I have to get, my things ready.” Clare says. Louis looks at me worried.

“Why do you have to get your things ready?” 

“I’m going home for a while.” Clare says while sniffling.

“Her Grandpa is in the hospital.” I say.

“OH no! Clare I’m so sorry.” Louis says then pulls Clare into a hug.

“It’s okay. If he dies he’ll be happier and he will be peaceful. He won’t hurt anymore.” Louis nods and lets go of Clare. 

“You are right. He will be happy and with all of his family there will make it better.” Louis says and goes. Clare stands up and tries to pick up her bags. I walk over to her and grab the two duffle bags. 

“Thanks.” She says.

“You’re welcome.” I say and head for the door. “Don’t answer any questions if you don’t want too. I’ll tell them when you’re gone.” She nods, then walks through the small hall and through the living room area and get bombarded with questions.

“Clare, what’s wrong?”

“Clare, what happened?”

“Clare, what did Alex do to you?”

“Clare, are you alright?”
