RECAP
*“One of them saw you Flix."
“Saw me?”
“He said it was nice we got a kitty cat on our team, how fortunate we managed to find a werecat."
“What’s that got to do with me?”
“He went on to say what a pretty young girl our werecat was, even with the strange white hair,”*

Brent moved back slightly and I cleared my throat awkwardly.
“Well it would seem the cat is out of the bag,” I struggled to keep a straight face and Toby snorted, “it took you long enough.”
Brent glared down at me and I pursed my lips.
“So...uh...how are you...bye,” I ran for the door surprising the group.
I was just twisting the handle when I was dragged backwards across the room by Brent.
“Bitch put me down,” I yelled.
“You are going to sit down and we’re going to talk about this,” Brent said angrily.
“Talk about what? The fact you’re all idiots and couldn’t work out what I am when it was staring you in the face?” I taunted.
“Why didn’t you tell us?” Toby shouted.
“Eh, it’s none of your business,” I shrugged carelessly as Brent released me.
As soon as he had completely let go I ran for it which resulted in me ending up flat on my front with Brent on my back.
“Dude,” I said loudly.
“Felicity,” Brent said warningly.
“FLIX,” I squirmed under his hold but I swear he’s made of steel.
“So in the clearing you were the size of a panther...were you also the little cat in our dorm...can you change size in cat form?” Brent inquired.
“Yes,” I sighed dejectedly.
Brent stood up and offered me a hand which I took gratefully.
“Now will you answer some questions?” it wasn’t really a question.
“Ye....nope,” I darted out the front door cackling like a witch.
I cautiously snuck back into the dorm and found the living room dark and silent. The kitchen was the same and when I stepped into the bedroom I saw the outline of Brent in bed. I smirked and made to head to the bathroom when a hand enclosed around my mouth. I was yanked backwards against a hard chest and I immediately relaxed when I recognised Brent’s wood and coffee scent and his alluring cologne.
“Clever boy,” I said when he released my mouth.
He chuckled into my ear and pulled my body tight against his with a hand to my right hip and his other on my left shoulder.
“I want to know the truth Flix,” he said quietly.
“About what?” I said in exasperation.
“Everything, why are you here?”
“I have nowhere else to go.”
“Where are your parents?”
I ground my teeth together and looked up letting my head rest on Brent’s chest. He took my silence as an answer to his question and exhaled slowly.
“I’m sorry,” he murmured.
“Don’t be, it’s not like you knew them or killed them,” I said bluntly.
Brent released his grip on me and I walked to the bed.
“That it?” I asked.
“For now,” he said simply before disappearing into the bathroom.
I rolled my eyes and stripped for bed. I was just settled beneath the sheets when Brent walked out and climbed into his bed.
“So where are you going to go in a month for spring break?” Brent inquired softly.
“I don’t know, I’ll find somewhere,” I said.
“I’m not going to...”
“I wasn’t expecting you to,” I interrupted with a chuckle.
I looked at Brent and he had his hands beneath his head as he stared at the ceiling.
“Do you have mates...as a werecat?” Brent questioned.
“Yeah,” I answered, “ours is different though because cats get a lot more territorial over their mates and when you’re sixteen you have a dream of what your mate looks like in cat form.”
Brent was silent as he digested this information then sighed wistfully.
“I wish wolves had that dream,” he said.
“Hmm, it can be sickening though,” I said dryly.
I saw Brent throw me a frown as he moved onto his side to watch me.
“How so?”
“I dreamt of a huge black wolf,” I said with a forced smile.
