The girl on fire

Here it comes the games of death

My heart stutters and skips a beat

I takes what seems to be my very last breath

Just for a moment I shut my eyes in defeat.

I take prim's place

I walk up the stairs in shock

Invisible tears roll down my face

Nobody claps they stay silent they mock.

In these brutal games I see weakness is glared

Everything you hear is a lie

Death is encouraged and cheered

Kids ages twelve through eighteen compete and die.

I fight to stay alive

I see death and   despair

I kill to survive

I hope Gale takes care.

The kids in these games are cruel and mean

The capitol watches  on as scenes of action transpire

I walk out of these games known as Katniss Everdeen
