Service before self, the old dictum true,
Now however, there’re brave men few,
Keeping greater good, before personal gains,
Everyone born free now lies bound in chains,
Of Greed, Of Hunger, Of Lust soaked in fervour,
Can the Nation take this gluttony any further?
We have wolves in innocent sheep’s clothing,
The very protectors who bask in loathing,
Abuse power, prospect, position with disdain,
They are the anathema, our hapless nation’s bane,
There however is time still,
To infuse this depleted society, a new life instill,
Soak up in the values old,
The morals, dictums and learning’s foretold,
Action now can only save us, help us succeed,
For the Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need,
but not every man's greed…
Service before self, the old dictum true,
Now however, there’re brave men few,
Keeping greater good, before personal gains,
Everyone born free now lies bound in chains,
Of Greed, Of Hunger, Of Lust soaked in fervour
Can the Nation take this gluttony any further?
