Inside her room, Karen started to pack her things. She decided to put her priestess stuff at the bottom of her suitcase. It was a very large suitcase. It must be expensive coming from the Villaruels. She packed some clothes, her sketch pad and some pictures of friends. She busy trying to decide what else to bring when her mother opened the door.

“What are you doing?” Francine was very shocked to see her daughter ready to leave.

“Mom I, I was just.” But Francine suddenly felt dizzy and fell to the floor. Karen hurried to her mother’s side.

“Mom? Mom wake up!” She shook her mother’s body but she doesn’t respond. “Dad! Chris!” no one answered her. She went down to look for them. She saw Chris lying unconscious on the floor with his toys. Angelo was also lying on the ground besides a broken mug with coffee spilled all over the floor.

“What’s happening?” Karen said to herself. Then a ghastly figure past right through the walls of their house.

“It’s me Lakambini. Something dark spread all over the town. Try to look around. I wonder why you aren’t affected. Everyone have lost their consciousness.” It was the ghost she had met before.

“Oh God. Don’t just go inside our house without permission. I think I know who did this. I just don’t know why…”

“Must have been immune due to your strange aura. Oh I forgot. I think someone unique is coming to your house.” Said the ghost.

“Okay Casper I think you are pertaining to those two.” Karen looked at the two young men at their gates. One is with dark complexion donning a blonde hair and the other looks European and sports a blond with partly pink hair. Both are were wearing black. They’ve noticed Karen who was looking at them from the terrace. The two bowed down.

“It seems they have some courtesy for you.” The ghost was right behind Karen. She decided to continue packing her things. “What are you doing?”

“I’m leaving this house. I have to or else my dad’s going to die. Though this means I’m gonna be a witch, an evil witch for the rest of my life.” Karen cannot seem to hide her sarcasm. She almost forgot the wooden chest. The only thing from the box that she haven’t figured out the use of. Quickly she slip in into the bottom of her suitcase just to make sure.

“Can I come with you?” the made a sudden suggestion.

“Huh? How?”

“Just get a soil from that guava tree and plant a seed from the same tree. By the time it sprout I can come wherever you are.” The ghost smiled. Even though she’d tried she still can’t help but remember Inigo just by looking at the spectre.

“Are you sure? That place might look like hunted mansion. Ghosts might be residing there already.”

“If you don’t want me to come you can just tell me.” The ghost looked serious. Karen doesn’t know what to do.

“Okay okay. But you must distract those guys first or else they won’t let me gather what you need. They might think it’s one of my babaylan mojos.”

“Fine. Even though know what mojo is.” Then he disappeared. Karen can’t still get used to spirits that had been seeing lately. She checked the gate to see if her Casper managed to distract the henchmen of her grandfather. She was surprised to see them having a sort of head ache. She went out of the house but not before kissing her mom, dad and little Chris. She then went straight to their garden just a few steps from the gate. She scoop an ample amount of soil and grabbed a nearby ripped guava and placed them both inside an empty bottle. She placed it inside the cardigan that she was wearing.
