I woke up to see the bright sunshine streaming into the window and couldn’t help but let out a long happy sigh. The days of summer have begun and I get to start learning Italian today. I rolled over onto my side and looked at my phone’s time and let out a shriek.  I couldn’t believe I was going to be late for my first day of college. What the heck…

Jumping out of bed I ran down the hallway to Gabriele’s room and saw his bed already made up and him nowhere in sight. “Gabriele!” I screamed running down stairs and into the kitchen. There was a note sitting on the kitchen table and picked it up.

Dear Adriana,

Well I see that you’re going to be late for your first day of school. You should really get use to the time zone over here… Sorry I didn’t wake you up it’s well, you see I don’t care about you. ;)

Please do not rush to get ready I am sure your first period will not miss you because I surely wouldn’t. In fact this is the beginning of torture..

Get ready to loose.

Hate you,

Gabriele :)

I felt the anger boiling in me as I crumbled up the paper and tossed it across the room. Oh he was going to pay for that…

I quickly ran upstairs and into my room to get ready when an idea popped up in my head. Grinning like a mad man I threw on my best skinny jeans and top that was see through. Yes I put a kami on underneath it don’t worry people, before making my way down stairs and into the kitchen.

I picked out some ketchup and went back upstairs. Walking into his room I began my search for his best shoes when I came across his jackets. Squirting ketchup into the pockets I then moved on to the shoes, smiling at my work. Lucky for him his floor was wooden so the ketchup would come off easily… though I wish I could say the same thing for his shoes and jackets.

Squirting the ketchup on the floor of his closet I left a message saying “Payback is a pain,” before walking out of the closet. Slowly closing the door I thought about him slipping on the messy entrance and then seeing my wonderful message.

Chuckling to myself I grabbed my bag and walked out the front door, taking in the beautiful day before heading off down the breezeway.  I swung the door open and skipped to the front desk. “Hello ma’am!” I sighed happily.

“Ciao.” She said glancing up at me.

I tipped my head to the side confused already. “This is going to be a long summer break,” I huffed before turning away from the giggling lady. Slowly making my way down the hallway full of identical doors I searched the numbers for my classroom. The last door read the numbers that were on my list and I stood there annoyed. How come every room or place I go is at the end?
