Authors Notes:-

Hi everyone, this is one of my first poems so bear with me.

I love to write. (if you haven’t already noticed)

My mother tells me I’m like my father. I achieve things when under pressure.

So today, my English teacher decides that we are going to write a poem.

There were some groaning and moaning, yes but we all wrote a poem.

We had to write a poem about school. We also had to include;

·         15 lines minimal

·         1 symbol

·         1 metaphor

We also had to add 1 example of alliteration, but I didn’t know how to fit it in.

Before you read the poem, I’m just going to run over some meanings for some words I have used.

-        Hammered – worked

-        Snakes – Deceiving and cunning people/ evil

-         Gold – wealth and high achievement

-        Red – angry/ go down the wrong path

-        Autumn – change

-        Summer – Prime of life

-        Spring – New life

-        Winter – Death

-        Doves – loved ones
